VIDEO GAMES: Will There Be a TDKR Game?

Despite the embarassingly bad Batman Begins tie-in and the fact that every fan is more than happy with the Rocksteady's Arkham series there may be a TDKR game on the way.

A 2012 release schedule from a major UK High Street retailer obtained by MCV has mentioned two new titles for the first time.

Firstly, it suggests that Warner Bros’ upcoming summer movie hit The Dark Knight Rises will be accompanied by a video game tie-in.

Furthermore, owing to the nature of the in formation MCV obtained, it suggests a physical release rather than a smaller-scale digital title.

Also on the list is a game called Battlefield Evolved. No further details are known.

With EA planning a big push for Medal of Honor: Warfighter this Q4, a fully-fledged Battlefield release seems unlikely. It may be that the SKU includes Battlefield 3 and all of its DLC.

Both games are supposedly scheduled for the autumn.

The final item of note is a proposed autumn release for Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V.

General consensus points to a 2013 release for the title, but with the New Xbox out in 2013 does Rockstar really want to release its key IP right at the end of a generation?

Good news about GTAV though, right?

And a new Xbox in 2013? WHAHHHATT? *pinches salt*

If it comes out for the vita i might get it.It'll be the only way of having the dark knight on the go.Unless they announce and arkham city port,or release the third game for the vita too.

As for gta v,rockstar releases a game per year so I'd take that as fake.

NO. Rocksteady and various others have mentioned that there is no game in the works multiple times. Besides, if there was, we'd have seen some semblance of marketing for it by now.

I read the TDKR tie-in game was being concedered, but was cancelled. The movie is set to come out in only five months.

There has been no word on a developer or anything. Not even any screenshots. If they do make one, I'll check it out.

@FriendlyJoShFest I saw another person mention that. I've played the game, but I didn't finish it. I must have not gotten far enough to play the Tumbler levels.

@Superbatlantern85

The gameplay reminded me a lot of Splinter Cell. In my opinion, you didn't miss too much.
