The game is not based on the Michael Bay films. It is based on an original story that takes place before the Autobot/Decepticon War reaches Earth. As you can see, Optimus is sporting a look extremely similar to his animated counterpart but with more of a buff look and a MUCH BIGGER axe.
Quite frankly, this game looks sick!
