Wonder Woman made $4.6 million this weekend, which puts its overall domestic box office total at a whopping
$389 million. That means that it has offically surpassed the domestic total of
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 ($387.3 million), making it the new domestic champion of the summer box office. Experts say that the DC Comics origin story will easily reach $400 million, and could even reach $410 million and beyond.
Wonder Woman is currently the second highest grossing film of 2017 after
Disney's Beauty and the Beast ($504.1 million).
Overseas, the film has reached
$390.4 million, putting its worldwide box office cume at a massive
$779.5 million, and the film will easily reach the $800 million milestone soon. As a reminder,
Wonder Woman's projected global finish of $800m+ is not that far away from the worldwide total that
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ($873 million).
This could mean good news for Joss Whedon's
Justice League this November. What do you think of
Wonder Woman's box office performance? Sound off below!
