Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman movie is currently in the middle of filming overseas in Europe and fans have become increasingly excited with each new release of set photos that depict Diana's life on Themyscira. However, not much is known about the actual plot and tone of the film. But Gadot just gave a small hint to Digital Spy. Wonder Woman debuted in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Patty Jenkins is at the helm of the standalone Wonder Woman movie. So while both films may be dark and gritty, the style and story composition of each film will be vastly different.
"In Batman v Superman, you get a glimpse of who she is but not where she comes from, " said Gadot. She continued, "In Wonder Woman, this would be the first time we ever tell the coming-of-age story of how Diana becomes Wonder Woman. It's very interesting. It has moments of humor, but it's pretty dark."
"We all saw before the beautiful coming of age of Batman, Spider-Man, Superman. We don't know anything about Wonder Woman." Gadot went on to add that this Wonder Woman is a 100-years younger and much more "naive".
Wonder Woman just received a new release date and will now arrive in US theaters on June 02, 2017. Jenkins directs the origin film from a script written by Jason Fuchs.
