After being passed over by the networks the other week, NBC has given David E. Kelley's pitch the greenlight. According to Deadline:

The project is described as a reinvention of the iconic D.C. comic in which Wonder Woman -- aka Diana Prince -- is a vigilante crime fighter in L.A. but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.

So, you guys happy that it got picked up and thoughts on the description?
Which actress do you reckon for the role?

I'm only going to be happy because I get to see a hott female playing one of the sexiest comicbook females of all time BUT, I am not happy that its going to be a TV series that is not following the origin story.. Thats why I want a Live action Film of Wonder Woman The Amazonian Princess NOT a TV series reinvented Wonder Woman Vigilante/Corporate Executive..

I hope she has super powers.. If she doesnt, then this TV SERIES will be lame..

damn DC for not investing the money for a Movie.. Take the chance for Christ Sakes.. The money wasted on Jonah Hex could have been used to make Wonder Woman.. I bet Wonder Woman would have made more money then Hex did at the Boc Office.. smh

Hmm.. looks like Ally McBeal with super strength.

Better go the movie route and have 1 single well thought of plot instead of devising plot for each week. However, if it's a Batman TV series I'm alright with it because Batman universe can generate a lot of stories that doesn't break the bank.

IDK about this? Excuse my limited knowledge of Wonder Woman, me being more of a Marvel fan, but does she have enough "story/character/Whatever" to have her own tv show, I though she was kinda like Hawkeye, Badass character not enough depth to have own TV show.

I want to be optimistic but i feel this TV Series will more then likely fail.. rating & all.. If & when it does fail,, that means we will never get a Wonder Woman Film.. damn you guys for not taking the chance..

Oh.. well its funny because i was going to Type WB instead of DC but i wasnt too sure on who the issue is with, so I just Blamed it on DC.. either way, I just dont think a TV Series is going to help.. it might ruin the chance of a Film being made..

We might only Get wonder Woman in a Justice League Film. Not her Own Film.. Shes a Character that deserves her own Big Screen Movie..

i picture her in a movie but tv show is okay too.. i'll take anything as long as wonder woman is in it... i just hope they don't pick someone taht look like linda carter, i mean she was great as a wonder woman back then but this is now.. even wonder woman look changes through out the years in comics...

David E. Kelly pitching a Wonder Woman show? The same man who brought us Ally McBeal, The Practice and Doogie Houser M.D. Sh-yeah, I'm not seeing it. I'd rather see a movie, preferably something similar to the animated film.

P.S.
BRIDGET REGAN FOR WONDER WOMAN!

This doesn't sound like WW to me but oh well. Personally I always thought it would be difficult to portray her on screen regardless of the approach taken. Will just have to wait and see if it works. Will it work on NBC? Somehow I doubt it, figured a cable station would be a better chance but who knows.

@Guason

I think a Wonder Woman movie can work on the big screen if its like the animated movie. The problem is that its going to take a lot of money to make it and market the movie. The people who don't keep up with the comic will think that wonder woman is campy, which is not true she is basically Lena Headly and Gerald Butlers characters from 300 combined with superman lol

itbegins2005 - Be careful what you wish for, lest we wind up with an Amazon version of Halle Berry's 'Catwoman'! I say, "Do it RIGHT, or don't do it at all!!!"

Whatever it was they proposed, it is not Wonder Woman. Altering character and location to cater to a budget is insulting. Instead of having faith that the source material can carry itself, and that there is a fan base, they create their own take on a contemporary superhero and slap the 'Wonder Woman' brand on to make a few bucks. All, of course, without making themselves look silly with such a ridiculous concept. ;p

Well NBC has the Cape, which seems like a Batman rip off so they might as well get a real DC hero.
