Breathtaking WONDER WOMAN Concept Art Takes Us To Themyscira And The Battlefields Of World War I
An incredible batch of hi-res Wonder Woman concept art has appeared online, and it features a detailed look at Themyscira, the harsh battlefields of WWI, and other key moments from the movie.
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have a series of amazing new pieces of concept art from Wonder Woman. The site has a breakdown of each piece courtesy of production designer Aline Bonetto, but perhaps most interesting is what she had to say about the lair belonging to the evil Doctor Poison.
"I like working with a palette of color that is monochromatic. This set is quite dark, but also, as you can see in this picture, the costume of the scientist is quite green. It was important she would be the strongest point of color in this set. She’s working day and night, trying to find a terrible thing. You have to give the feeling that every tool, every bottle, is something on the way to create something more dangerous. You can only go further and further. They had to push me out of this set."
That sheds at least a little light on the villain's plan then and we also get to see a factory where the weapon she's created is seemingly being transferred into bombs which have the potential to change the outcome of World War I. It's been rumoured that Doctor Poison doing so at the behest of Ares.
