Fox Dates Two Untitled MARVEL Films; KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE Moves To Fall 2017
20th Century Fox has just announced two untitled Marvel films for 2018 and 2019. What could they be? Plus, they've moved Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Golden Circle to Fall 2017. Come check it out!
Get ready to put your speculating caps on because according to Exhibitor Relations, 20th Century Fox has dated two untitled Marvel films for November 2, 2018 and February 14, 2019. There's no word on what these films might be, but considering where the release dates fall on the calendar, it's likely they have been reserved for the Gambit spin-off and/or Deadpool 3. Other possibilities include an X-Men: Apocalypse sequel, the Josh Boone-directed New Mutants film - which is expected to begin production at some point next year - and/or the long-awaited X-Force film.
With an additional date in 2018, Fox now has three Marvel films slated for that year, having already reserved March 2, 2018 (which a recent report claims has been reserved for the New Mutants film) and June 29, 2018 - which unless a core X-Men film is fast-tracked, is now being heavily rumored for Deadpool 2.
On a related note, the studio has pushed back Matthew Vaughn's upcoming Kingsman sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, from a very crowded June 2017 to October 6, 2017. No reason was provided, but it will now debut the same day as Denis Villeneuve's eagerly awaited Blade Runner 2049. As for its now vacated June date, the move should open up the month for two mega-releases: Warner Bros.' next DC adventure Wonder Woman on June 2 and Tom Cruise's highly anticipated horror reboot The Mummy on June 9.
So, what do you guys think? What films will we see on these mystery dates? Sound off with your thoughts below!
