The Gambit film starring Channing Tatum is still very much happening. Though it won't meet its 2016 release date, filming is reportedly scheduled to start in March.  Gambit was originally slated to start filming last November and arrive in North American theaters on October 7,2016. However, after director Rupert Wyatt dropped out the project Fox pushed back the start of filming to find a replacement. Though there's been no official word from Fox, producer Simon Kinberg recently confirmed that the film's release date would be pushed to 2017 . Doug Liman is expected to replace Wyatt in the director's chair.

At last night's Golden Globe Awards, fashion experts were bewildered by Tatum's haircut, not realizing that he's preparing for his role as everyone's favorite, Cajun X-Men.

Does anyone know in Gambit's solo comic run who were his villains and what were their powers?

Odd-looking that way, but probably not how it's going to be styled in the film.

Yeah I am not feeling good vibes from this movie as well! Nothing has really been said, no concept art released......

In fact the only info we have received are the issues this movie has getting off the ground.

Who knows maybe it will blow our socks off like Deadpool as so far!

Lost interest in this when we lost Wyatt.

Whilst Liman gave us Edge of Tomorrow & the Bourne movies, he also gave us Jumper!

I'd prefer Gambit falling in line with the first lot of movies than the latter, otherwise we could potentially heading into Wolverine Origins territory with this one, another Fox stinker!

It's strange, Gambit is one of my favorite characters but I'm not really excited about this. I heard a taste of his Cajun accent in the Hateful Eight, but I just have to wait and see.

@fettastic "Just look at that douchebag face. Are you seriously telling me you don't want to punch it as hard as you can on pure instinct?"

Yes, that's why he's perfect for Gambit, thanks for making it clear.

Hopefully this will turn out good . After Wolvie is done , Fox will need a new pg 13 workhorse to keep the machine going .

Everybody needs to lay off of Tatum. This is Fox. They know what they are doing. They only make quality comic book movies at that studio.

Hope this movie doesn't suck as much as Tatum does.
