It Looks Like GAMBIT Will Have More Than Mr. Sinister To Contend With In The Upcoming Movie

Another casting breakdown for Gambit has surfaced via our friends at That Hashtag Show and this one points to the hero - played by Channing Tatum - having more than just Mr. Sinister to contend with in the movie which is slated for release on February 14th, 2019 (despite the planned Disney/Fox deal).

"Butler" is described as a, "Supporting Character (30-40) Rosa's fiancé,
villain with metrosexual charm. Should be physically imposing." The site has a theory about who this mysterious character actually is and it appears to be Donyell Taylor, the man Bella Donna Boudreaux shacks up with after things go wrong with Remy LeBeau. His code names in the comics include Night Thrasher and Bandit.

That's right, the former New Warrior who manipulates Bella will seemingly be making an appearance here and a love triangle being present in Gambit probably shouldn't come as a surprise given its release date! Night Thrasher showing up when a New Warriors TV series is in the works is definitely interesting, though, and it's possible "Butler" will be someone similar but with a totally different name.

What do you guys think? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Was really kinda hoping the Marvel acquisition would shut this movie down, but alas, it seems not...

@ProfessorFate - Fox wouldn't have the rights for Night Thrasher, but anyway this is bullshit. The movie isn't happening.

@ProfessorFate - Yeah, like TheFamousJMC said, I doubt very seriously Fox has the rights to Night Thrasher. He's not a mutant and has never had any affiliations with any X-Teams. I wouldn't think this obscure part from Gambit's past is even enough to warrant shared rights like with Quicksilver.

I would care.....if it wasn't only made because Marvel can't do anything about until they create their own xmen and gambit
