Now many fans are split as to the leather look for the X-Men movies. But as a far as motorcycle leathers go, this looks pretty good. Universal Designs has already done a Batman suit and has now partnered with Marvel to bring Wolverine's suit to the streets. To ensure precise detail, Marvel provided UD Replicas with access to the Wolverine suit worn on-screen in X2: X-Men United.

There not done with just Wolverine. This is also part of their announcement:

Under its multi-title license with Marvel, UD Replicas also announced today that it is in development on an extraordinary leather replica of Tony Stark’s Mark V Suitcase Suit that will be seen in Marvel’s eagerly anticipated IRON MAN 2, which will be released in the U.S. on May 7.

“We’re putting our creative senses to work like we’ve never done before,” [David] Pea said. “We’re going to mold and shape the leather to replicate the beautiful bevels and hard angles of the Mark V suit. We’re making the leather look like metal, and doing things we never thought would be possible.”

UD Replicas is working furiously on its motorcycle-suit version of the IRON MAN 2 Mark V Suitcase Suit, which it plans to unveil in time for the film’s debut.

The company is also partnering with Disney to do a Tron Legacy light cycle outfit.

Finally. Now we won't have to deal with seeing those cheap outfits at ComicCon. We will see authentic-looking costumes. Nice work DogsOfWar.

Good catch, Dogs...good catch, indeed!!

Edit: The Dark Knight suit looks bad@$$!!! I'm really excited to see what they do with the Iron Man suit. I wonder, do they take requests? I've been trying to make a Stillsuit for what seems like forever...and just can't get it right.

@Wolverinept. A guy I knew used to have a shop in Atlanta. He made custom biker wear. He made me one based off of Cyclops's uniform from X-Men. he also made me a custom helmet that looked like Dark Samus from Metroid Prime Echoes.

Unfortunately that one was destroyed in my wreck...

Hey everyone check out my new story in fan fic!

I am both a die hard Harley owner and a die hard comic fan and I have to say, if me and my friends saw anybody wearing any of these they would be laughed at and possibly beaten up. By me included :)

the new models are good and not a great deal of money either. but given this economy i bet you could find some nice used ones that people are desperate to sell real cheap.
