Jubilee Is Definitely A Child Of The '80s In New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Image
Jubilation Lee looks 'glamtastic' in new X-Men: Apocalypse image. Do you think Jubilee will suit up with Cyclops, Jean Grey and Nightcrawler when it's time to do battle with the titular villain?
Though her casting was a major announcement, promotional material for X-Men: Apocalypse has been very light on Lana Condor's Jubilee. However, a new magazine scan of the character has popped on twitter, revealing Jubilation studying as a student at Xavier's School For Gifted Children.
Given that this version of Jubilee appears to be pretty much the same age as Cyclops, Jean Grey and Nightcrawler, will she also suit up to battle Apocalypse and his Four Horseman? Going by the film's marketing that doesn't appear to be the case. In previous interviews, Condor revealed that Jubilee has actually been a resident at the school for 10 years, longer than any of the other young X-Men featured in Apocalypse. As a senior student, one would think she'd have earned her X-Men costume long ago. Perhaps Fox and Singer are saving her role as a surprise?
SYNOPSIS: Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
Bryan Singer directs his sixth X-Men film for Fox, from a script written by Simon Kinberg. Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris receive story credits. Set in the '80s, Apocalypse is the ninth installment in the cinematic X-Men franchise. The film hits US theaters on May 27.
