Jubilee Is Definitely A Child Of The '80s In New X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Image

Jubilation Lee looks 'glamtastic' in new X-Men: Apocalypse image. Do you think Jubilee will suit up with Cyclops, Jean Grey and Nightcrawler when it's time to do battle with the titular villain?

Though her casting was a major announcement, promotional material for X-Men: Apocalypse has been very light on Lana Condor's Jubilee.  However, a new magazine scan of the character has popped on twitter, revealing Jubilation studying as a student at Xavier's School For Gifted Children.

Given that this version of Jubilee appears to be pretty much the same age as Cyclops, Jean Grey and Nightcrawler, will she also suit up to battle Apocalypse and his Four Horseman? Going by the film's marketing that doesn't appear to be the case. In previous interviews, Condor revealed that Jubilee has actually been a resident at the school for 10 years, longer than any of the other young X-Men featured in Apocalypse. As a senior student, one would think she'd have earned her X-Men costume long ago. Perhaps Fox and Singer are saving her role as a surprise?

SYNOPSIS: Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

Bryan Singer directs his sixth X-Men film for Fox, from a script written by Simon Kinberg. Singer, Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris receive story credits. Set in the '80s, Apocalypse is the ninth installment in the cinematic X-Men franchise. The film hits US theaters on May 27.

@TheEpicJuicebox - Wolverine changed the timeline

@ForDarkseid - Still doesn't make sense. Jubilee was a teen in the original trilogy set in the early 2000s. Which would mean she was born in the 80s. The time line was changed in the 70s. So technically everything that took place before then would run according to the normal timeline. (meaning no Angel, no Jubilee). So up comes Wolverine & changing the timeline in the 70s and we now have a teenage Jubilee & Angel in the 80s. Which would mean to be a teenager at that time, they would have to be born in the 60s, which is about a decade before Wolverine did anything to change the timeline. So @TheEpicJuicebox is right - Makes no sense continuity wise

@megabatfan - plus there are two quicksilvers, one was in origins and deadpool was originally a mutant but now he's not?? Idk the whole universe is a mess

@megabatfan - She was never referred to as Jubilee in the previous films, so they can get away with that.

@DevilMayhem666 - Check out X2: X-men United. I believe Storm referred to her by name. She is even credited as Jubilee. And if that rationale does not fly, then no one has any right to argue Emma Frost in First Class vs Emma in Wolverine Origins... Because that Emma was never referred to as Emma Frost during the movie's runtime, nor credited as her. I believe it was only the promotional clips called her Emma Frost I believe

@megabatfan - She was listed as Emma Frost in the credits of X-Men Origins - Wolverine

@megabatfan - The changes in the timeline ripple in both directions. This has been said, already.

Origins got erased. Only about the first 10 minutes exist, with Wolverine and Sabertooth fighting in all the wars.

Or perhaps Singer is an moron and doesn't at all get his characters that he directs about and we all want Matthew Vaughn to come back.

Yup. I nailed. it.

@Tufasrox - Uh, Vaughn was the one that ruined the Phoenix in X3. That was his idea iirc.
