According to Latino-Review's @umbertogonzalez, principal photography on X-Men: Apocalypse will kick off in Montreal on April 28th. That's not the most exciting news however as he also reveals that the movie will feature cameos from Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, Halle Berry's Storm, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. We've heard that Sir Ian McKellen will return as Magneto, so perhaps the X-Men: Days of Future Past follow-up will return to that new continuity which was glimpsed at the end of last year's "inbetweenquel". Gambit showing up before his solo movie later in 2016 also makes sense, but will Jackman get just a cameo or a key role? We'll have to wait and see for now...

I'm not even going to attempt to try and figure out the logistics of getting the new Gambit, the old Storm, and SOME version of Wolverine (present-day? 80's?) into this movie.

I doubt Jackman gets a key role, the X-Men films at some point will need to survive with out Hugh's name selling all of the movies

It would be smarter to have the Gambit cameo in the modern timeline,
rather than tie the character to the 1980s time period,

It that would be pretty restrictive to lock the character into doing more period pieces.

Makes sense if Wolverine just has a cameo in this. He should be out trying to "find himself" and get his own story going for how he gets his adamantium back (possible Stryker tie-in again maybe?). This may set up his 3rd solo Wolverine film.

Allow some other characters to shine, and leave him as a cameo. Let the story breathe and prove that a successful X-Men movie doesn't have to feature Wolverine front and center. Otherwise call it "Wolverine and Friends".

Pretty stoked to see who they opt to include on screen in this. It has big shoes to fill after DOFP.

I really hope that Wolverine has little to no part in this. Like many people on this site, I would love for him to show up as one of the Four Horsemen. Given that he is now in the custody of Mystique-Striker, and knowing Mystique's attitude towards the human race in general, perhaps she loans him to Apocalypse to use in his war against humanity? That would be cool.
But really, I want this film to have as little Wolverine as possible. Don't get me wrong, I love Wolverine, but he's already taken up too much space in this franchise, and he has his third solo film coming out the year after this. Let's focus on Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Nightcrawler, Angel- the characters who have somewhat gotten the shaft in the past.

Holy shit, I may actually get excited for this movie if Wolverine just has a cameo.

Let the other characters start getting their moment. I'm tired of Wolverine and friends. Seriously!

The Xmen CAN survive without Wolvie.

There are 10 characters I can think of off the top of my head that can carry a movie let alone just be important to the story.
