THE WALKING DEAD's Tom Payne Reveals His Interest In Becoming The Next WOLVERINE

Scott Eastwood recently stated that he'd love to succeed Hugh Jackman as the next Wolverine actor, however, the 5'-7" Tom Payne, who plays Jesus on The Walking Dead, reckons he'd also be a good fit.

There’s definitely plenty of uncertainty in the Fox X-Men Cinematic Universe right now.  Despite an acquisition deal with Disney looming, the studio is proceeding with plans for no less than 6 future X-Men spinoffs and sequels.  It stands to reason that one of these films will include a new actor portraying Wolverine as the mutant is just too popular to leave on the shelf.

Speaking to TV Guide, Tom Payne, who co-stars on The Walking Dead, revealed his interest in succeeding Hugh Jackman.  “If they did recast the Wolverine part, I'd be well up for it," said the Jesus actor.

Payne went on to explain why he’d actually be a better fit for the role (at least physically) than Jackman.

"Wolverine is actually like 5'1", or 5'2" or something.  And Hugh, he was brilliant, but he was much, much, much bigger."

If Fox does get the chance to recast the role before the Disney merger occurs, do you believe the studio will get Wolverine’s height right?

Getting Wolverine’s height right doesn’t matter.

Height and physique wise Michael Keaton is no Batman yet he owned the role through his performance

Side note: Scott Snyder’s Justice League team was announced. It’s the DCAU line up plus Cyborg

@JoeMomma29 - Did you read this week's issue of Mr. Miracle? That book is going to go down as a modern masterpiece. Tom King is the best writer in comics.

A couple of months ago, she was asked who her favorite superhero was. Her answer:

Man, I don't know how to feel about this one! On the one hand, there's Selma. On the other hand, there's A Wrinkle in Time.

Fingers crossed for Selma Ava, and not Wrinkle Ava.
