With X-Force projected to hit theaters within the next two years, the film may very well be the last general audiences will see of Fox's X-Men. Serving as the third film in the Deadpool series, X-Force will see the return of Cable, Deadpool, Domino, and others, many of which are still unconfirmed. Unfortunately, it may be Ryan Reynold's last film in the suit. But that won't stop the star from pulling all the stops.
Speaking to Buzzfeed regarding the home release of Deadpool 2, the cast was asked who they would like to join X-Force. During this time Reynolds introduced a brilliant idea. "I'm just going to double-down on Hugh Jackman, but not as Logan, just as Hugh Jackman."
To be fair, 2016's Deadpool did introduce Jackman as a character in the universe. Somewhere in Fox's world, former sexiest man alive Hugh Jackman is waiting in to be in on the action. This would be a welcome appearance, even though it could potentially make Jackman's "final appearance" in Logan less special. But as Fox's last X-Men film, might as well have a cameo from the actor who started it all.
