Is This Why Bryan Singer Hasn't Signed On To Direct X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Yet?

Yesterday we found out, as well as co-writing and producing the next installment in Fox's X-Men franchise, Bryan Singer is in talks to direct the film. It seems he might just be holding out for something bigger though...

Bryan Singer has been the man behind the camera on three X-Men films and it looks like he'll be adding a fourth to the list come 2016. But is Bryan Singer pulling a Robert Downey Jr. move on Fox?

If The DailySuperhero are correct, Bryan Singer is pushing Fox to not only give him the director's chair, but a cut of the ticket sales as well.

This is nothing new as big names often charge extra for their star pull, Michael Bay gets eight percent from the Transformer's box office takings.

What do you think off Singer's needs? Greedy? Deserved? Sign off your thoughts below... and try not to go too hard on Singer.

If I had to choose a word now, it would be GREEDY, but that could change after DOFP. We'll see.

X2 was his last good movie. How long ago was that? Fox should wait and see how DOFP does in the box office before giving him any special treatment.

Guy made Jack and the Giant Slayer, what kind of clout does he think he have? All of his recent movies were bombs. He lost his mojo long ago.

I hope Fox stands firm and let's Matthew Vaughn do seeing how he saved the X-Men franchise with First Class anyway.

For something like this - something on this scale - to work, you need a spider in the net, some kind of mastermind to make it all coherent. To inspire that kind of investment, you really need to commit on your part, too.

If Singer can orchestrate an Xmen universe on film that lives up to his pedigree on these movies, and to the DoFP trailer, and what he wants is a real sign that his blood and sweat will be worth it, I say give it to him. Lord knows these things go south when a bunch of indifferent people start pulling it in a bajillion directions.

I expected this after yesterday interview.

Im sure Singer and Fox are waiting for Days of future past boxoffice to finally negociate and see if Singer deserves even more money or not.

So wait a minute DailySuperhero..you're telling me that Bryan Singer is still negotiating with Fox about directing the movie because of....MONEY??? Now you've just gone too far. I don't know what shameless studio mole leaked this info but I'm not about to believe it without official confirmation. I mean the very idea!

It's been said, but let's wait until DOFP before giving this guy anything. He's been a letdown before, but the DOFP trailer has given me a new hope. If this movie is as good as its potential, give the man whatever he wants.

Really BAY!??
He gets a share in TRANSFORMERS profits cuz he's the Star pull!
WTF?

Only Spielberg, James Cameron & Chris Nolan are big blockbuster directors who actually PULL people in... As they are almost as big Star of their films as anyone & at times they are the Star!
Scorcesee & Fincher on small scale & sure Singer & few other do have their fans... So I wouldn't mind him getting a share... But BAY... No fvcking way; who goes to see Transformers cuz it's a Micheal Bay film, if that's the case the how many people did he pulled for PAIN & GAIN!

Fox should, without a doubt, make any deal contingent on DOFP box office results. Singer hasn't delivered in a long time. If I were Fox I would remind him of his recent box office history.

Big mistake if Fox caves in. Singer is not the main attraction for the X-Men franchise, it'd be downright stupid to give him a rev-share deal.

And despite how much Fox-lickers praise those first 2 x-men films they still didn't do over $400M Which Sony, Marvel and WB proved was attainable with many of their comic book films passing $500m and beyond.

@youngthanos

You gotta remember those 2 xmen movies came out back in 2000 and 2003, ticket sales was pretty cheap back then, plus no 3-D too.
