Bryan Singer has answered 10 questions asked by fans through the X-Perts section on the 'X-Men Movies' Facebook page. Some questions are just about comic-books but he chose to answer some questions about the upcoming movie 'X-Men: First Class'.

Bryan is the first to answer questions but the rest of the cast will also be doing the same thing through the Facebook page so if you want the chance to have your question answered then be sure to check it out.

Here's the questions, with his responses:
Q: If you were a mutant what kind of power would u want to have and why?

A: I would like the power of Nightcrawler or Azazel; the ability to teleport anywhere.

Q: Who is your favorite x-men character and why?

A: Professor X because he is both powerful and vulnerable.

Q: Was there a character from the old comics you would love to have seen in this movie that hasn't been in previous movies, and was not able to be put into this movie?

A:Quiksilver.

Q: What made you choose Emma Frost to play a part in "X-Men: First Class"? Overall, what do you think of her character in the movie?

A: You can't have the Hellfire Club without Emma Frost. She is sexy and scary.

Q: Does this movie fall in the category of prequel, reboot or bit of both? Nevertheless, I'm very open-minded for this movie! =)

A: Prequel

Q: What are your plans for the X-Men franchise after First Class?

A: I am just focusing on this one at the moment.

Q: Is there less pressure producing this film as opposed to directing it (like X-Men 1 and 2), or are the pressures just different - with different things expected from you?

A: I can absolutely say from my standpoint that there is less pressure. There is no position with more pressure than directing. Hats off to Matthew.

Q: What was the deciding factor on changing the origin story of the X-Men instead of going with the comic book?

A: I felt that to earn the First Class title, it was important to go back to the formation of the X-Men and the beginnings of Xavier and Magneto's relationship.

Q: What about this period in history intrigued you?

A: It is a time of socio-political upheaval in the world. The height of the cold war period. The birth of the civil rights movement. And the birth time of the X-Men comic book.

Q: Was it a conscious decision by the team to pick and choose which parts of previous movies would be canon to this movie? (White Queen already appearing in other movies, etc.)

A: We did our best to maintain continuity with the other films. But as sometimes happens for the sake of telling the most compelling story possible, we made a few concessions.

Finally! Some good questions asked! I do really hope they can answer the whole Emma Frost thing. Beast thing isn't too important since we see him with a syrum in the trailer.

It's funny that he talks about earning the first class title, but actually has a cast that is the near opposite of the actual first class!

I think he did just answer the Emma Frost thing.

"But as sometimes happens for the sake of telling the most compelling story possible, we made a few concessions."

It sounds like he's saying they are disregarding her appearance in Wolverine in order to tell their story.

"So we ignored the fans request for a true First Class story and went with what we wanted so we could fill more like an artist at the end of the day."

Thats basically what I got from that. Hope your movie flops, you [frick]!

The real questions should have been like, "What did you think was going to happen when you left, X-Men : The Last Stand?" "Did you know it would fail?" "Or did you put all faith in your Superman ideas?"

People, if you're going to call someone an idiot, moron, imbecile, etc., please use proper spelling and grammar in that sentence at the least. "Your and idiot?" There is just so much irony in that short phrase.

This is stupid. They didn't even think about the future. I'm not one of the people who think only the future, but come on. The next one will be a sequel to the prequel. The story in the godam franchise doesn't make any sense.

YOU KNOW X2 WAS GOOD THEN HE LEAVES US FOR SUPERMAN AND NOW HE'S BACK..AND SOME SOURCE MATERIAL CHANGES JUST MAKE ME MAD. IF SOMETHING HAS WORKED FOR GENERATIONS OF COMIC BOOK FANS, WHY CHANGE THINGS...OR "CONCESSIONS"...THAT WORD IS TOO BIG

Its a damn shame that Matt Von is directing this abomination. I know this will be a visually awesome movie and I'm so happy they finally have the blue and yellow costumes.

However the continuity issues and their ignoring of the comicbook [timeline/ family tree/cannon] is a complete slap in the face to x men fans everywhere. They are basically butchering my childhood. I grew up reading these comics as well as Spiderman and to see my favorite characters torn apart and rewritten for the sake of Brian singers vision of the most compelling story possible is BULL S HIT!!!!

BRIAN SINGER THE X MEN HAVE BEEN AROUND LONG BEFORE YOU WERE EVEN BORN AND HAS BEEN DOING JUST FINE. WHY F*CK UP SOMETHING THAT HAS ALREADY PROVEN ITS SELF TO WORK.

X MEN FIST A$$ WILL BE THE EMBODIMENT OF BARRAKA POOL FROM THE WOLVERINE MOVIE... EPIC FAIL

X-Men and X2 was great for a minute. Singer's X-Men movies have aged badly. Now all of it looks silly. Spider-Man & Spider-Man 2(which was released around the same time) is still great.

HA! These questions are so patheitc...i would have stuck it to him hard like, "How do you feel about the outrage of the comic book community for changing the first class line up? do have any idea how much controversey the changes you've made have generated? Despite the changes, do you feel that your film can win over the comic book community? To which singer says, "The comic book community? Who cares what those jerk off internet losers think." F UCK YOU BRYAN SINGER, BURN IN HELL...

Awwh, I was hoping the 'Emma Frost' from Wolverine movie would have been one of the Emma Frost clones/Cuckoo's!!! - it would explain how she appears much younger when the film is set later.

I don't understand why people are so concerned about hollywood following the source material down to the most minute detail. I mean I've been reading comics for the last 25 years and the stories and characters continue tob change, there's X Men Forever, Ultimate X Men, Uncanny X Men, X Men first class, John Byrnes X men run, Frank Quintlys X men run, and a whole bunch of other "versions" of the x men fantasy. All I'm saying is, the comic books themselves don't stick to the source material so why expect a hollywood entity to do it when we all know they got an audience to cater which is bigger than just us.

and

"A: We did our best to maintain continuity with the other films. But as sometimes happens for the sake of telling the most compelling story possible, we MADE A FEW CONCESSIONS."

...that right there says it all: it's a big "FK you! We can do whatever we want, we don't care about continuity as long as we get paid and make more money with people who don't give a rat's ass."

And they still wonder why there's a lot of negativity. Singer, when you say AND confirm that the current movie CONNECTS with the others previously, make sure to understand what a PREQUEL means!

See definition: A prequel is a work that supplements a previously completed one, and has an earlier time setting. The prequel forms part of the "back-story".

That's Hollywood and FOX for you.

Really? But it is okay to give this film the misleading title of "X-Men: First Class" without the real first class?
dfresh

@BlackSands: The story he's trying to tell in this movie takes place before that first issue. Before they formed this mutant team to take on Magneto. It's when Charles and Erik first met. He's creating his own vision of how it went down.

Secondly, he says he's making concessions to tell the most compelling story possible. You grab that as an "Aha!" moment and disregard his reasoning for it. He would rather the story be good than worry about Emma's very brief appearance in a movie he had nothing to do with.

As far as I can see, Dr. Hank McCoy's 2 second background cameo in X2 and Emma's small obscure role in Wolverine are the only movie continuity breaks that can be pointed to. Why is that such a big deal? If you want to say it's not source material, fine, but I don't get the outrage over continuity when he did pretty damn good with it considering it's involving 4 movies with 3 different directors.
BlackSands

@mavrekmcee: basically, if you take out the actual comic book established "canon" - you still have a source material, so to speak, that they can draw from: Singer's X-Men: The Movie canon. He practically defines it as a prequel of those movies. Now, I know that certain liberties have to be taken to craft a story - but as long as it ends up with a resolution that ultimately CONNECTS to the previous works. Lucas's Star Wars prequels leading up to his original films actually answered a lot of the major questions episodes IV-VI and is a perfect example of what a movie prequel is. There are too many inconsistencies in X-Men First Class that we have seen so far that doesn't make sense in connecting to the previous films it's supposedly a "prequel" to.

I wouldn't have minded if they called it a reboot with a COMPLETELY new X-Men movie history.

This has nothing to do with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. So drop the whole Emma f*cking Frost thing people. When he says 'the other films', he's referring to the 3 X-Men films, and frankly, I don't think he gives a damn about them..

I LIKE TO ANNOUNCE RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW THAT AFTER READING THE TRANSCRIPTS TO THE RUSSIAN TRAILER THAT I HAVE GROWN INTERESTED IN THIS FILM!!!! to dfresh and movietheaterLAD..i admit defeat...that piece of dialogue where xaivier is telling magneto what is in his heart and the paranoa surrounding the announcment of the mutant population just sold the film to me....these themes were what was missing in the original trilogy and i believe this iflm will give the old films more depth...now i just got to get over the fact mystique and magneto wore yelloe costumes and were part of the first class in the movie universe...
