We have read the trailer descriptions, heard a few possible spoilers. But this Friday those that head out to catch Seth Rogen and Jay Chou kick ass in Michel Gondry's Green Hornet will get a very first look at the mutants from Mathew Vaughan's new X movie in action..
The long-awaited trailer for “First Class” will get a hero's welcome this Friday, appearing before screenings of “The Green Hornet.”
The info comes courtesy of magazine Brand X. About time I'm sure you will all agree! Keep an eye on CBM leading up to Friday for more info on X-Men First Class and possible even an early first look at that trailer;)
UPDATE: Despite this story being written by Geoff Boucher(La Times'Hero Complex blog), there are now reports that Fox haven't issued an official release date. It's very unlike Boucher to publish false info. Guess we shall have to wait and see!
UPDATE 2: It's officially not happening this Friday folks. At first I though Fox may have been hesitant to confirm the leak but Boucher himself has updated his article and corrected the announcement. Also, nothing official here but word is that the trailer description doing the rounds is fake. Apparently just made up fan fic. The trailer HAS screened for a select few but they say the leaked description is way off. They won't say what does happen though so until we see for ourselves it's all up in the air.
Interestingly though, Harry Knowles had this to say over at AICN..
I've been talking to Matthew Vaughn about this report, which leaked a few days ago. It is true that Fox is testing various trailers right now, but they haven't locked down the final trailer - at least that has been showen to Vaughn. SO - I'd be a little careful taking any of this particularly to heart. At least for a bit. We'll see soon enough.
Maybe there is no First Class movie at all? We will just turn up opening night and Fox's hired goons will come out and steal our wallets:)
