X-Men First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

Here is an excerpt from Movies.IE:

The Irish release date for the X-Men prequel FIRST CLASS has been brought forward to Monday - May 30th 2011. The film will now take the unusual step of opening on a Monday, something which worked very well for the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost film last week. Their movie PAUL made £5.5 million on its opening week at Irish and UK cinemas thanks to its valentines day head start.

X-Men: First Class is set to be released in the UK on June 2 and in the US on June 3, later this year!

Intuder, your right. Nothing is going to save this movie..from the fanboys. However I'm sure it will do just fine given the millions that will see it based on it's awesome trailer.

@Intruder, I can't possibly understand where you get the connection that this movie is "retarded teen exploitation," similar to Twilight. You think the Thor movie looks more adult themed and deeper than this? You have serious blinders on buddy. Open up, there's a big world out there.

@intruder

"You know, for a crazy homeless person, he's pretty cut." [watching a shirtless Hemsworth]

"You made my men look like a bunch of minimum wage mall cops"

"This is definitely going on Facebook"

"Oh no, this is Earth, isn't it?"

You're right, that isn't aimed at the teenage mall generation at all.

And no, I haven't read the script. I actually want to enjoy these movies.

haha..I pretty much made an account to do to the fanboys, as the fanboys do to these films. Just talk shit. But, you must've missed points made about BEING OPEN MINDED about certain series/franchises.
I am not a "fanboy", as far as the know it all attitude is concerned. Hence why I hardly contribute towards such nonsense. If I'm right at the end of the day, I'LL know it..could care less about being "first" or whatever it is most here worry about.

My point with First Class is, it's NOT going to be a stand alone film. There WILL be a First Class 2, which will take place LATER, possibly 70/80s, in which they'll bring MORE characters, possibly ones who fit the time frame (look, attitude, tone, STORY, etc). TO most likely end at a third and final First Class film, in which, you'll more than likely have the original five completing an OFFICIAL "mission" AS the X-Men, how? Who knows. Will Bobby Drake be a child/tween? Possibly. And inadvertently help the X-Men..we don't know. But they can do some twisting with what we have already..to make it happen.

Comic.Book.Movie.com, you all show you all "KNOW" your comics. But none show that they know movies..c'mon.
