I really thought this one was dead in the water when Zack Snyder decided to direct man Of Steel for WB, but apparently we will still be getting that 300 spin off detailing the "God King" Xerxes' rise to power, but it's no longer titles Xerxes, and it won't have Snyder on board as director..

The producers of the 300 spinoff known as Xerxes have retitled their film 300: Battle of Artemisia, and they have also narrowed their focus of potential directors to two: Noam Murro and Jaume Collet-Serra.


Word is that the movie will still retain Snyder and his wife Debra as producers at Legendary Pictures. As for the two directors in line, Murro is best known for his ward winning commercial work(he gave us the Halo as campaigns) but does have one movie credit in Smart People . Collet-Serra has directed Unknown, and is working on the Vampire flick Harker.

this is a huge project for legendary/warner and it will probably take place in march/may 2013.and by the words of snyders this one is 10 times bigger then 300...
collett serra would be my choice.hes a great director,and murro should direct die hard 5 without any rush...

They should've just called it 300: Xerxes.

Does Warner Brothers WANT to fail? It's one thing that the idea of a Xerxes solo movie sounded unessessary, but now they're adding 300 to the title for maximum cheese? Excuse me, I mean maximum Xercheese. To hell with anything original I guess. Just milk anything that makes noise.
