Last week, the Hollywood Reporter announced that the two main companies in the running for the James Bond franchises's distribution rights were Sony and Paramount. They're now reporting that Fox have now also made a pitch for the highly sort franchise and even other films from MGM's catalogue.
But last Friday, they also listened to a pitch from top Fox executives, who argue that their studio would do the best job exploiting Bond, as well as other future MGM films. They also believe they could wring the most out of the MGM library.
The piece also says that:
The new MGM management team of Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum has been talking informally to Paramount.
Sony, who previously released
Casino Royale and
Quantum of Solace are also in the race.
I'm certainly looking forward to Bond 23, can't wait to hear some casting announcements. I thoroughly enjoyed the last two.
Bond 23 will be released November 9 2012.
