The ongoing drama with the Ghostbusters 3 seems to be never ending, which is causing fans to become irritated with the constant back and forth between actors and director. Having said that, most of us are willing to sit back and let it happen as it would not be the same without the involvement of its biggest player.
Digital Spy was able to sit down with Ivan Reitman, the man behind
Ghostbusters 3, who gave a few updates on Bill Murray's status as well as the potential involvement of younger Hollywood actors. The biggest news is that Murray has seen the latest script.
"He's seen it and we're waiting to hear," Reitman said.
"He's seen the cover of it!" interjected the filmmaker's No Strings Attached star Asthon Kutcher.
"Thank you for putting that so well," Reitman added. "Fingers crossed!"
Asked if Kutcher could star as one of the new generation of Ghostbusters in the proposed movie, Reitman said that the idea was "absolutely possible".
"
If you'll remember, Bill Murray has been quite vocal about some of the previous scripts that he read, basically calling them garbage. I, along with most of you I'm sure, would hate to see this project move forward with out Murray. I'm not too big on the idea of Ashton Kutcher in volved, but the addition of younger actors could be entertaining.
