Javier Bardem And Ralph Fiennes Also Reportedly Signed Up For Bond 23!

Following the news that Naomie Harris is in final negotiations to play Miss Moneypenny, it has now been revealed that she'll also star alongside Javier Bardem And Ralph Fiennes in the next Bond movie...

As was reported earlier today, Naomie Harris is set to star as Miss Moneypenny in the next (and currently untitled) James Bond movie. Well, IGN Movies have brought attention to another part of that same report from The Daily Mail which mentions the addition of two other cast members.

While both actors have been very loosely linked to the movie in the past, the site mentions that, "The actress is poised to appear alongside Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Judi Dench when filming begins later this year." While this is far from confirmation, I would say this is a fairly strong indication (especially as the source is a reliable one) that they have indeed joined the cast of Bond 23, set to film later this year.

Of course, it's also worth noting that they point out the fact a spokeswoman for Eon confirmed earlier today that Harris has met with producers, but not yet signed on. Whether the same can be said for Bardem and Fiennes remains to be seen.

Directed by Sam Mendes, Bond 23 is set to be released on November 9th, 2012!

Berger45@ Owen would rock as Bond. He has the same cold face expressions like Craig. Both perfect for the role.

Ralph Fiennes will be an evil mastermind who is hunting Bond because was the only person who survived his first attack, and Javier Bardem will be his evil hitman who goes around doing his bidding, killing people with a unusual but deadly device.....oh wait, Ive think I mixed something up.

@marvel72 Because time is changing, nothing wrong with a bit of change and diversity. Means shes going to be a recurring character, and not just "The black bond girl he did in that last film"

A black Monneypenny lends credence to teh theory taht each Bond is a different Bond. I suppose each 007 is named James Bond, and other agents get assaigned names too

I always thought (dont quote me Im not a huge Bond fan) that James Bond was just a generic name given to different agents, and that continuity doesn't matter. I thought each individual Bond was a mini-reboot, with the same character names from the novels but different actors.

This is a great cast. I'm hopeful for this movie to be along the lines of Casino Royale, as opposed to QoS.

@THEPHOENIX @CatwomanLover The double-o status means he has a license to kill in the line of duty. What's really important is the number for which each agent is assigned. Each agent that is given double-o status is assigned a unique number to identify him(7). Throughout the films(not sure about the novels)Bond has had the same family history, education, military background, etc. James Bond isn't a cover name but the character's actual name. The writers of the films were merely poking fun at the fact that James Bond looked so different from the previous movies(changing actors). Casino Royale was more or less a reboot of the series and for the most part hasn't completely done away with the character's continuity.

For some reason, I thought writing this out would be a lot shorter.

@CatwomanLover - All the Bonds are the same character, up until the reboot with Craig.

The film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" had Bond (George Lazenby) marry a mobster's daughter, Tracy. She was killed at the end.

In "Diamonds Are Forever", Bond (Sean Connery) supposedly exacted revenge on Blofeld for Tracy's death.

In "Live and Let Die", Bond (Roger Moore) visit's Tracy's grave.

Cool, they don't usually go for big names in Bond movies...except for the desperate last movie of the Pierce Brosnan series.

Bardem will make a great villian. As long as Fiennes doesn't telephone in this role like he did with Clash of the Titans, then he'll be good as well. I still like Craig as Bond and hope they keep him around.

Daniel Craig is an awesome James Bond. I think he is the most exciting Bond yet he just kicks so much booty. JAvier Bardem and Ralph Fienes are great actors and I can't wait to see this. This could be the best Bond movie ever.
