New clip released by Yahoo for Griff the Invisible. The film was well received in Australia and will make it's debut in the US, August 19th.

Synopsis: Griff, office worker by day, superhero by night, has his world turned upside down when he meets Melody, a beautiful young scientist who shares his passion for the impossible.

Griff the Invisible

Running Time: 1 hr. 33 min.
Release Date: August 19, 2011
MPAA Rating: PG-13 for for some language and violence
Starring: Ryan Kwanten and Maeve Dermody.
Directed by: Leon Ford.

The film is directed by Leon Ford and produced by Nicole O'Donohue. Executive producers are Jan Chapman (The Piano, Lantana, Bright Star) and Scott Meek (Velvet Goldmine).

The idea was conceived by Ford while sitting in a café watching a child playing by himself. “He was in this whole other exciting world and it looked much more exciting than the one we were in. I thought isn’t it a shame that I’m not allowed to do that anymore. So I just thought what if you did have a guy who chose not to lose that side of his childhood?”

Kids, this movie was made on a budget of $2.7 million!

I'm pretty sure it's intentionally cheesy. Pretty sure.

Anyway, I might actually go see it, just because of Ryan Kwanten, heh.

Why does this guy look like "Daredevil" from the "Trial of The Incredible Hulk" movie from the late 80's?

I'm actually really looking forward to this movie. I don't think the premise will necessarily be crime-fighting, but rather finding the superhero inside us all, which will make it relative to the audience in a way that most cbms don't really do.
