The only redeemable directors to replace Edgar Wright is Phil Lord & Chris Miller of 21 Jump Street / Lego Movie fame.

I'm sad and this is so off-topic.

@MrMartinMarvel - ...and you know this because?

There is no reason to think that if we actually DID have that total power of our brains unlocked, that we wouldn't be able to at least Fly or have X-Ray Vision. There is no telling what we are actually capable of.

I'm going to see this film because the concept does sound interesting because I think it's actually going to go the pineal gland route... like DMT and astral projection and all that pseudo science stuff.

@MrMartinMarvel

There are theories that suggest we would but it has nothing to do with using 100% of your brain. Look up the pineal gland theories, it's a little out there but it's pretty cool.

Seems cool, but I kinda wish she wasn't overpowered.
Then maybe it could be a kick-ass franchise.

I like it. Looks like she's about to do some damage. I'm there.

"overpowered" What ? That's not what the movie is about ? It's not about the powers it rarely is when comes to powerful beings like this.

I like the idea but yeah the "10%" of the brain thing is flawed. It looks like Superwoman movie to me, the way she says the world and how she perceives it reminds me of the way Superman sees the world, of course that side of Superman is unexplored in the movies so it's cool to see how it would look in a live action movie.

Smart to move the date. Takes it out of competition with TMNT and the 2nd week of GOTG, both of which will; likely do well, and puts it opening with Hercules, which has "lowered expectations" buzz.

The premise is far-fetched (considering that it isn't an overt comic/fantasy film) and I feel kind of over-exposed after having seen the trailer twice.

That being said, Scarlett and Luke Beeson (huge Fifth Element fan) are both favorites of mine, so maybe...

I like Luc Besson as well. The Transporter films, The Professional, Taken, Lockout, From Paris with Love, and the Fifth Element.

@DrDoom: On the contrary, I just had to tell someone recently that the 10% thing is a myth. Apparently, there are 1 in 4 Americans who don't even know the Earth revolves around the sun.

Saw the trailer and groaned so [frick]ing hard. The "humans only use 10% of their brain" isn't only cliche, it is false. We use 100% of our brain.

This movie has been done before. Anyone remember "Limitless" with Bradley Cooper from 2011?

Oh, but wait! It's different because she has powers! Wrong. "The Lawnmower Man" from 1992:
