Rambo 5 will be kick ass if it is anything like Rambo 4. That movie was cut throat awesome. I want to see Sly slitting throats and shooting people or hybrid humans (I don't really care which) in the face with a compound bow from short range. Bring it ON!!!

Stallone/Rambo+Campbell/Ash Williams vs Zombiecaveppl = action gorefest of epic proportions. Until then i will save my money on this. Damn i got Rocky/Rambo movies that were worth paying for. Come on Sly give us something classic dude.

Taking the Rambo character down the sci-fi route (crossing genres) is a big mistake. Why cant he just play the man the story was designed for?

I liked Rambo 4 as well. I guess he's goin for a Rambo vs Predator. Not sure how well it will do, but hey if he can get the best action stars in the world to do the Expendables I guess he's still got a few tricks up his sleeves.

anyway, i'm excited, i liked rambo 4 and totally did NOT want to see it. but i ended up liking it a lot. so i'll see this

also, was anyone else disappointed that rocky didn't die in the ring in the last rocky movie?? lol

Why is everyone going PREDATOR type thing? Its probably super soldier gone wrong thing, not Space Alien!

And yes i really liked RAMBO 4 too!!!

No arguement there T. But why mix up these franchises that have a bit of nostalgia for us? I'm not saying he shouldn't make the movie. Just not with Rambos and Rockys. He just laid those characters to a peaceful rest.

Rambo [2008] was the most fun out of the whole series. Though First Blood is the best [and most serious] of the series.

Rambo is awesome. I think this movie going to be great. Stallone is a great director. Rambo could kill every super hero. I'd like to see Rambo fight and kill Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet. Sh!t, I'd like to see him fight Superman with the Infinity Gauntlet and all of the Lantern Rings at the same time. Rambo would still win.

I loved First Blood (and will always be my favourite of the franchise)because of the fact he didnt and didnt want to kill anyone (apart from the one accidental one) throughout the entire film. That I loved so when I saw rambo 2-4 it was like seeing a loved one going back to drugs! You dont need to kill to be happy john!!

But anyway if Rambo 4 is anything to go by a 5th will be very welcome.

I agree with you @ASSASSIN, I would pay good money for that too! Kanye...YUK!

With the modern day genetic engineering technology it is very feasible that the military could create a part animal, part human hybrid super soldier that could possibly go rogue!

I loved Rambo 4 so let Rambo take on Man-beast soldiers gone bad! I would pay good money to see that too! It's not that far-fetched nowadays so it's not simply sci-fi.

Well they have been cloning people since the late 70's. They have had a cure for aids for 20 years, so genetic experiments gone wrong and escaping and creating Rambo level havoc. Why not?

I just checked out the expendables leak..It's like a action star movie on steriods. Still kinda got that olds school feeling to it though. Def full of one liners

Christ, I think this sounds ridiculous. If they're gonna keep making these movies, they just need to scan his face, age regress it, and grab a model of his body out of the older movies, and make him like Spiderman. Or pass the torch.

Don't get me wrong, I respect him, but it's getting almost laughable. And I'm losing respect for him daily with this news. Granted he's in pretty good shape for his age, but his face looks like he's wearing a poorly molded mask of himself with all the plastic surgery.

Rocky is a classic film, as are Rambo 1 and 2 arguably (I admit I haven't seen 3 or 4, but I don't particularly have the desire to).

Anyway, he should just do something new like Eastwood with Gran Turino. I mean he's not got quite the talent as Eastwood, but he could do something better than he is. Because these new films, in my opinion, are tarnishing the classics. It really is turning into that joke in Tropic Thunder, I think anyway.

i think its a smart move i mean how many Rambo movies can you do about wars its too repetitive so a movie like this could be good for the franchise
