Do androids dream of electric sheep?

Following its debut during last week's Sundance Film Festival, A24 has released the first trailer for Korean director Kogonada's (Columbus) soulful sci-fi drama, After Yang.

The movie stars Colin Farrell (The Batman, Dumbo) and Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen and Slim, Without Remorse) as a married couple whose “techno-sapien” Yang (Justin H. Min) begins to malfunction. Yang is a lot more than just the robotic help, however, as he serves as a sibling of sorts to their young daughter Mika (Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja).

As Jake searches for a way to repair Yang, he "discovers the life that has been passing in front of him, reconnecting with his wife and daughter across a distance he didn’t know was there."

Based on the short story Saying Goodbye To Yang by Alexander Weinstein, Kogonada's second feature has been garnering rave reviews. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

After Yang is set to debut on Showtime on March 4, and will also get a limited theatrical release.
