It was speculated some time back that this would happen since the new anime Toriko would be taking DB Kai’s time slot once the Cell saga was finished.

Takeshi Kusao, the Japanese voice actor for Trunks, has stated there are only four episodes of DragonBall Kai left but he hopes they also remake the Majin Buu story. The Cell saga ends with episode 98 on March 27th 2011. You can view a copy of the scan where the interview was provided below.

So there you have it, DB Kai will be over very shortly. FUNimation has already nearly finished dubbing the Android/Cell saga of DragonBall Z Kai, with new episodes of the Android saga airing every Wednesday and Thursday on Nicktoons. So, for now stay tuned to the latest DBZ Kai episodes and hope they will return and remake the Majin Buu saga as well sometime in the future.

@Spider and Crono...they also made it more faithful to the manga, they removed all the filler episodes....I can tell because when Gohan gets his goku like outfit from Piccolo, the very next episode is him happy and living off the land, they cut like 2 or 3 episodes of filler where we see him try to survive

I loved that they redid it but just shorten it, giving fans new and old a more abridged version of this great series. Unlike FMA where they did two versions both varying additions and subtractions whereas DBZ is the same but shortened

@Spider.....yes, Funimation has done the dub like they have since the bought it a long time ago. Don't see it on 4kids thou, they made Popo blue because they think him being black is racist...which I think is more racist, thinking people are going to think its wrong

It is a shame. The series was just redone for the 20th anniversary with all fillers taken out and just the action episodes to watch. Also the picture cleared up and sound, new music and the original cast re-doing the voices. Sad though... That Funimation again has made this a crappy English dub. I have spoke to people from Funimation at conventions that say they know about all the complaints and get it. Again they went for the children and left some big kids out. The name is Dragon Ball Kai (meaning renew or even modified) and Funimation called it Dragon Ball Z Kai. Oh well... If you like the English version it's out there. For fans... There is a new animated movie that takes place after the Buu saga. It is called Dragon Ball Yo! The Return of Goku and Friends. Really great animation and the story is good... And funny... AND SUBBED! I watch these at goodanime.net.

This is DBZ Kai.....a few voices have changed (bulma freeza gohan) but not drastically. It also takes out some of the filler of DBZ and has the original japanese music. Also the story is alot closer to the original story. So people like goku vegeta krillin and others are the same voices...I enjoy DBZ Kai
