ANT-MAN 3 Star Jonathan Majors Is Being Sued For Defamation, Assault & Battery Following GMA Interview

Former MCU star Jonathan Majors recently sat down for his first interview since being found guilty of assault and harassment of ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, and it may have come back to haunt him...

Back in January, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania star Jonathan Majors at down for his first interview since being found guilty of assault and harassment of ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. When the segment aired, there was concern that the actor's decision could seriously backfire, which is exactly what seems to have happened.

During the interview, Majors maintained his innocence, and took zero responsibility for Jabbari's injuries despite being found guilty of two misdemeanour counts of harassment and assault.

“That did not happen,” the former MCU star said to host Lindsey Davis when she asked if he was responsible. When she followed up by asking how he thought Jabbari sustained her injuries, he replied: “I wish to God I knew. That would give clarity, that would give me some type of peace about it.”

Now, THR is reporting that Jabbari is suing her ex for battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution and defamation, which arises from Majors denying that he abused her leading up to and after his conviction.

The suit states that, by taking part in the interview, “Majors’s intention was not only to cause many people to believe Jabbari was a liar but also to cause those people to lash out, harass, intimidate, and bully Jabbari. Majors also intended his defamatory statements to adversely affect Jabbari’s career."

Jabbari is also accusing Majors of incidents of physical abuse which were not outlined in the trial, and allegedly occurred back in 2022.

According to the suit, Majors “pushed Grace so hard that it bruised her backside,” “picked Grace up in the air and threw her against the hood of her car” and “brought Grace back into their house and held his hands around her neck, stating that he wanted to kill her, and that he was going to kill her. Majors then started hitting Grace’s head against the marble floor while strangling her until she felt she could no longer breathe.”

There's a lot more to the suit, so click here if you want to have a read through.

Majors was fired as Kang the Conqueror almost immediately after his conviction was made public. The character is expected to be recast for the upcoming Avengers movies, but this has yet to be made official.

Majors was originally scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 6, but the hearing was delayed until April 8. The charges carry a potential sentence of up to one year in prison.

@Vigor - It's between him or Amber Heard. The two definitely thought their star power would protect them from scrutiny.

@SonOfAGif - nah, definitely him. He’s actually talented and was poised for a lot of great roles.

@SonOfAGif - I kinda wanna see them in a movie together, which also happens to star Gina Carano

@bkmeijer1 - Dude, I think that you might be onto something here. Throw in Rosanne Barr, Randy Quaid, a Predator, and a Kaiju and set it in the Mad Max universe which is overrun by vampire-zombies and BAM! you've got the first $3 billion dollar movie right there. I'd watch the shit out of that all day long. I'm not even kidding. Make it happen Hollywood!
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/20/2024, 3:27 PM
@StSteven - how about a Kaiju Predator?
StSteven
StSteven - 3/20/2024, 7:28 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick I think you just blew my mind. Christ, just add in Lando via a multiversal-time jump, Jason, and an Iron Man variant (preferably Tom Cruise), and I think that you have the absolute perfect movie. Oh, and we need to work in the chick from "Poltergeist". OH! And a T-rex! Definitely need a T-rex. Not sure how. Doesn't matter. Just make it happen Hollywood!
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/21/2024, 3:34 AM
@StSteven - "Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick" sounds like something I'd scream when I hit my toe on the kitchen counter.

Also, the mechanical T-Rex from the Batcave. That's how.
StSteven
StSteven - 3/21/2024, 6:08 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Actually, according to the Official Parents' Handbook, it what you say when you step on a LEGO in the dark and then fall backward only to step on an entire pile of LEGOs with your other foot on a ceramic tile floor which results in you skidding and landing on your ass.

Here's the problem with your T-Rex from the Batcave idea: Batman. I mean which one do you go with? The current one? The future one from "TB&TB"? One of the past ones? Do we give Keaton another shot to be in an actual good movie after "The Flash"? Too many questions there. Better off just keeping it simple and have the entire movie take place on Isla Nublar. That way they can have Jeff Goldblum in it as both Ian Malcolm AND the Grandmaster (who, as it turns out, are actually the same person due to the fact that a deleted scene from the most recent Jurassic World movie revealed that after hitting on Ellie Saddler one too many times Alan Grant launched Malcom into space where he actually was sucked into the Devil's Anus and ended up on Sakaar where he quickly became their ruler by using his ramblings about Chaos Theory to convince them that he was the smartest person in the universe (ever see "Idiocracy"? Same concept)).

Because what movie couldn't do with more Goldblum. BOOM! There you go! Wrap! Print! Wait for the cash to start rolling in!
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/22/2024, 2:33 AM
@StSteven - the solution to having no Lego on the floor and the t-rex, is by building the t-rex from loose Lego bricks. And regular Jeff Goldblum can help with that (if he's around)
StSteven
StSteven - 3/22/2024, 6:15 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Now you're cooking. How about this: we go all meta with it and have Goldblum do an episode of his D+ show "The World According to Jeff Goldblum" (or whatever it's called) within the movie where he explains the history of LEGOs and ends with him building the LEGO T-Rex and using a catchy tagline like "Remember: LEGO finds a way". That way we can 3 times the Goldblum. And never NEVER forget: Jeff Goldblum is ALWAYS around. Somewhere.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/22/2024, 6:59 PM
@StSteven - that sounds like something that could actually happen in that show. Think they canned it though. Who knows a producer might read this though and decides to revive it
StSteven
StSteven - 3/22/2024, 9:14 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Yeah I think they canned it as well. Too bad. My wife and I watched the first season and really liked it and I don't recall it having bad reviews (I could be wrong), so it may just be that Goldblum had other Goldblumming to do elsewhere (he does come off as a kind of "flighty" guy who just does whatever interests him at the time so he may just have lost interest with the show and moved onto something else but then may just wake up one day and decide to do it again - who knows).

How about this: if we can't get him back to do another episode of his show about LEGOs, let's include a scene in the movie where we have a LEGO Goldblum build the LEGO T-Rex like in the LEGO movies where they just throw together a car or spacecraft or something? Accomplishes the same thing and we still get like 2.5 Goldblums in the movie.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/23/2024, 4:22 AM
@StSteven - think they canned it because of low viewership numbers. Think we can convince him of that though
StSteven
StSteven - 3/23/2024, 8:03 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Oh well, it's not like he needed the show. Now if we can just convince him to do a third "The Fly" movie, that would be something. But hell, I mean we've got Keaton coming back for another Beetlejuice movie so anything's possible. And technically they were both dead by the end of their respective movies. Wait wait wait, I've got it: How about a crossover between "Jurassic Park" and "The Fly"? They could use the same premise as "JP" where some scientists scraped up a bunch of chunks of Brundlefly's remains after Geena Davis flew his head off at the end of the movie and they extract his DNA in an attempt to clone him (naturally there's a shady organization that wants to create an army of Brundleflies). They could even grow them in giant fly eggs like the dinos. Can you imagine a movie with dozens of Goldblums running around creating fly-chaos on some tropical island? With dealing tech where it's at now they could make the Brundleflies look just like the sexy sexy hunk of man-meat that Goldblum was back in the day. Another sure-fire blockbuster! Dude, we need to start a production company with ideas like this!!!

bkmeijer1 - 3/24/2024, 3:34 AM
@StSteven - this kinda sounds like the stuff you'd try in anime as well. Anything is possible in animation, including Jurassic Fly
StSteven
StSteven - 3/24/2024, 2:48 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Ya know, I actually thought up "Jurassic Fly" as a title right after I posted that reply and I considered going back and adding that to my post but then I was like "Nah, I'll just save that for my inevitable follow up post" and you beat me to it. Damn you! 😊

As far as anime goes, sure why not? In fact you could have Netflix produce it. They're totally balls-deep into anime stuff right now and it seems to be working pretty well for them.
bkmeijer1
bkmeijer1 - 3/24/2024, 3:00 PM
@StSteven - yeah, Netflix'll probably take it. Forgot what it was all about though. Something about cancelled actors, a Kaiju, a T-Rex, flies and Jeff Goldblum? Yeah, maybe it got derailed
StSteven
StSteven - 3/24/2024, 4:44 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Well it DEFINITELY got derailed, but you summed up the major aspects fairly well (left out the LEGOs though). And I'm pretty sure that as soon as the folks in charge of Netflix anime see "kaiju" in the description it's going to be a full-stop, green light, "let us throw money at you" response. So we should probably get to work on this before someone else comes up with the idea. I already have a writers room with 10,000 chimps working on hammering out some Shakespeare so I'll have them pause their work on that effort and redirect them to this new project. I'll let you know when we have a first draft for "Jurassic Fly: Rise of the King of the LEGO Goldblums" (working title).
