ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA BTS Photos Reveal Jonathan Majors' Transformation Into [SPOILER]

Newly released behind-the-scenes photos from Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania reveal that Jonathan Majors donned a lot of prosthetics to play one of Kang the Conqueror's Variants. Check it out here...

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's mid-credits scene, we're introduced to Kang Variants Immortus, Rama-Tut, and a character we believe is Scarlet Centurion.

Moments later, we saw literally hundreds, if not thousands, of Kangs assemble as they seemingly celebrate the death of Kang the Conqueror (a Variant whose goal was to destroy their realities). We can't figure out why else they would be howling like such loons, but the three we actually hear talk clearly believe it's time to deal with the Multiverse's Mightiest Heroes.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty is sure to provide some answers, but one particularly cool moment comes near the end of that stinger when we see a blue-faced lizard-like Kang Variant.

council-of-kangs-card-image

As you can see above, that particular piece of imagery was based on a very specific comic book panel and some newly released behind-the-scenes photos confirm Jonathan Majors donned a lot of prosthetics for the scene. We're not sure where these images originated, but they're clearly legitimate and we'll be sure to add the proper credit when possible.

For now, you can view them in the Tweet below, but Majors is clearly ready and willing to play each and every Variant of Kang we see on screen.

If Iron Lad ever shows up, for example, we're guessing the actor will be de-aged and it's fun to see the lengths the actor will go to in order to bring this villain to life on screen.

We don't anticipate seeing much more of this particular Kang (it's interesting that his face went from orange to blue, though it does make sense). As for Immortus, he's s clearly concerned about The Avengers interfering with the Multiverse and jeopardising whatever it is these Variants are up to.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is currently playing in theaters.

I kinda like the lizard Kang look.

Damn! Dis looks scurry!

I wish they took the time to make interesting stories to match such wonderful imagery. I envision a skrull story that would both shock and amaze fans to the core.

What if they have been behind the plot since Iron Man? They have been meticulously making moves to both avoid Dr. Strange,
S.H.I.E.L.D., and other factions that could disrupt their covert intergalactic takeover.

That'd be cool.

However, I expect Emilia to be afraid, until she's not. Then a bunch of quippy nonsense fills my eardrums, until she's betrayed by the mentor who is... Dom, dom, dommmm- a skrull. Either that, or she is one the entire time. Meh...

Worst after credit scenes ever. I've also always wondered by they don't put the most important credit as the mid. 9 times out of 10, the last one is always a joke or some shit. You make me wait 7 minutes for some bs.

@bobevanz - No, it wasn't the worst one, there have been countless post credit scenes worse than this one (e.g. ant playing drums). Plus, both of them were important this time around.

@Urubrodi - that I think was actually cool, since you see the news report in the background showing the devastation of the snap.

@Urubrodi - anytime someone shouts about something being the worst thing ever, I can't help but think about comicbook guy from The Simpsons. "Worst episode ever!"

@bobevanz - A bit dramatic. Both scenes were good and the Kang one was incredibly relevant to what's to come.

@RedFury - dude just wants attention. people follow along like they are some movement. they like to use key words we, us. trying to include all fans in their bitching as if its a movement. the after credits were some of the best. i love when they pull panel for panel shot like the council of kangs straight of the comic.

@supermanrex - Totally, I wish people would stop trying to force everyone into thinking that their opinion is the only one that counts. It's like dude we get it... You don't like it, give it a rest.

And totally! They were very relevant post credit scenes, and the first was so comic-booky it was glorious hahah. They really embraced the comics vibe there. So satisfying

@Origame - It was cool and powerful... just woulda been more impactful without the final shot.

@Urubrodi - Funny thing is I thought that was a foreshdow of Scott fully controlling the ant, cause he learned playing drums while "doing time" at home... Now he was learning to control his ants and the drumming was a way of showing he was succeeding at that.

Too bad it was never used.

What comic book is that panel from? Seems like that would be an important piece of info to include in the article.

Saw it 2 days ago. The more it settles the more i like it. Really not sure why so many MCU fans didn’t enjoy it.

@DanFlashesShirt - I wouldn’t say the MCU fans didn’t enjoy it. I’d say the haters not picked as much as possible to try to make people feel like this wasn’t a good movie. I thought it was great.

@DanFlashesShirt - I enjoyed it as well. While I admit it could have used better dialogue, and maybe some more inventive situations. Overall I'd still say it was a fun film, and I really enjoyed Kang. Majors is such a talent.

@DanFlashesShirt - Seems to me critics were the ones who were irrational. But yeah, I enjoyed it a lot. The critics are on meth.

@DanFlashesShirt - your mistaken the vocal and loud minority as some sort of consensus for the rest of us. they post in sweeping terms to create an illusion that they are many but in reality they are few and often foolish as they just want to create a stir. i have no problem with actual criticisms if someone is not a fan of a movie etc but the straight up trolling and edgy bullshit out there these days is getting old.
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 2/23/2023, 11:15 AM
@DanFlashesShirt - No idea. Is it a top tier MCU movie? Defnitely not. But is far from being the worst. I prefer the third one over Ant-Man 1 and 2 for example. If we were to base on critics than Thor 4 would be considered a better movie, which is a joke.

@DanFlashesShirt - agree with every reply here. Maybe its just me being pleasantly surprised in a way, I don’t have the highest of bars for the Antman franchise to begin with. Loved the first one, did not care for the last one personally.

Did everything about the plot make sense? No, but I don’t think it had any bigger ‘plotholes’ than any other MCU project.

Special effects didn’t really stick out to me as outrageously bad either, thought they were fine.

Action was awesome, loved all the shrinking sequences they worked in

i like rick and morty, so i dug all the plot elements that were inspired by that.

Post credits scene with thousands of Kangs was epic. How can you not be excited about this saga??

Why nobody ever bring up the question of why all the audience Kangs were acting like they were watching a sporting event? Kang himself seems like such a stoic and reserved character but the ones in the audience looked like they were watching a monster truck rally.
