Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania introduced us to Kang the Conqueror, a villain we were led to believe is the most dangerous of all the Kang Variants.
Instead, he was beaten by Scott Lang and, presumably, that's the last we'll see of him. One popular fan theory is that, by being sucked into his Multiversal engine, Kang will somehow gain the powers of The Beyonder, making him the biggest possible threat to all reality.
Time will tell on that front, but some newly released concept art by Aleksi Briclot reveals some unused superpowers in the threequel that sadly didn't make the final cut.
"Exploring Kang’s superpowers in a short sequence. [Kang] being able to summon some ghosts of himself. And blast in different directions," the artist says in the Instagram post below. "Always really fun to do. And challenging! Thinking about motion, gesture, animation and what it could look like on screen. As a sequence."
This feels very Loki-like, and we can't help but wonder whether that's why it was cut!
If Kang has killed countless Avengers, it would have been fun to see him utilise some of their abilities and those of their foes. Of course, he was still a major force to be reckoned with even without them.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be available to buy at Digital retailers on April 18 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 16.
