ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA Concept Art Reveals A Cut Superpower For Kang The Conqueror

Newly released concept art for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania reveals that Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror once had additional superpowers in the movie that might remind you of a certain God...

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania introduced us to Kang the Conqueror, a villain we were led to believe is the most dangerous of all the Kang Variants.

Instead, he was beaten by Scott Lang and, presumably, that's the last we'll see of him. One popular fan theory is that, by being sucked into his Multiversal engine, Kang will somehow gain the powers of The Beyonder, making him the biggest possible threat to all reality.

Time will tell on that front, but some newly released concept art by Aleksi Briclot reveals some unused superpowers in the threequel that sadly didn't make the final cut.

"Exploring Kang’s superpowers in a short sequence. [Kang] being able to summon some ghosts of himself. And blast in different directions," the artist says in the Instagram post below. "Always really fun to do. And challenging! Thinking about motion, gesture, animation and what it could look like on screen. As a sequence."

This feels very Loki-like, and we can't help but wonder whether that's why it was cut!

If Kang has killed countless Avengers, it would have been fun to see him utilise some of their abilities and those of their foes. Of course, he was still a major force to be reckoned with even without them.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania will be available to buy at Digital retailers on April 18 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on May 16.

Take a closer look at Briclot's take on Kang unleashing these previously unseen abilities below.

"Kang will somehow gain the powers of The Beyonder..."

Please. Just. No. 🙄 Make him as powerful as you want but, don't call him The Beyonder. For some odd reason, Beyonder has always been one of my all-time favorite cosmic powerhouses and I used to see John de Lancie's Q as the closest thing to seeing The Beyonder in live action and certainly not someone that lost to freakin' Ant-Man. 🤨

@SuperiorHeckler - I think that should be the last we see of that particular variant. Besides, nobody watched that movie so does Marvel really want their big bad to originate from there?

If they're going for a human version of The Beyonder, then a variant of Kang that is essentially Owen Reece could work.

Otherwise it would just be The Beyonder taking the form of John Majors and why would anyone want to do that anymore?

@Matchesz - The MCU has been combining characters since Day 1. It's like it's bread and butter

His super power will be his ability to change his face to a totally different person.

How many characters in the MCU have the power of shooting beams through their hands, and use it 90% of the time? Powers are also getting boring in the MCU, they need to be more creative with them. Kang almost summoned ghosts! What were their ghosts' powers going to be? Shoot beams out of their hands too! lmao
