ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA TV Spot Unleashes Giant-Man; Evangeline Lilly Talks Possible WASP Movie

Marvel Studios has released a new TV spot for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, while Hope Van Dyne actress Evangeline Lilly has made a case for the character getting her own spin-off. Check it out!

Another day, another TV spot for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantuamania, and this latest sneak peek includes even more thrilling footage from the upcoming threequel.

Giant-Man is unleashed here, taking the fight to Kang the Conqueror in what promises to be an epic final act battle. Something that's definitely welcomed, though, is a little more screentime for The Wasp, a character who it feels has been sidelined in marketing for the most part. If this minute-long promo is any indication, she too will clash with Kang.

Talking of Hope Van Dyne, actress Evangeline Lilly was asked how long she hopes to continue playing The Wasp in the MCU during last night's world premiere.

"I'm going to make a pitch that - I think - it might be time for a Hope spinoff," she said on the red carpet. "For a Wasp standalone film. Do we agree? do we agree? Anyone going to buy that?"

A Disney+ series might work better than a movie, but after The Wasp was sidelined in both Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Endgame, we'd love to see her receive a greater share of the spotlight (something What If...? at least gave us a taste of in that "Marvel Zombies" episode).

Check out this 10 days countdown TV spot for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania below.

In Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.

Directed by Peyton Reed, the threequel also stars Jonathan Majors as Kang, David Dastmalchian as Veb, Katy O'Brian as Jentorra, William Jackson Harper as Quaz, and Bill Murray as Lord Krylar.

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on February 17.

No to a Hope standalone. I would give my left nut to see a 60s set Hank/Janet prequel Special Presentation however.

@FilmGuy7878 - yes a prequel could be interesting

@grif - It could show all the things we missed out on with Hank and Janet. The dynamic, the colorful comic accurate suits, the whole plethora of Ant-Man villains they decided NOT to use (Whirlwind, Black Knight, Egghead, Scarlet Beetle)

@FilmGuy7878 - what they should do is have the f4 in that time as well and they could work together and get lost in time or something then appear in the present.

but the beginning with them both on the missile in am2 is great

@FilmGuy7878 - a 1960’s Ant-Man prequel is something I could really get behind. That would be awesome. No de-aging though. Just hire younger actors in the roles.

@MrDandy - Yeah a whole prequel looking at de-aged actors would be just weird. My fancastings for young Hank and Janet are Bo Burnham and Rachel Sennott.

The Woke Mob will never allow a W.A.S.P movie. No way.

@FilmGuy7878 - man what, I'm hoping quantamania revtifies that by having kang to turn back the time on them.

@FilmGuy7878 - Egghead was technically in Ant-Man and the Wasp and Porcupine was in She-Hulk. They should have given that villain a makeover like in the comics and renamed him Hystrix like they did with Whirlwind. Magician, Hijacker, El Toro, and The Voice would be cool to see too.

@FilmGuy7878 - oh yes bring it on. I’m a big fan of Hank Pym and his whole story.

@grif @FilmGuy7878 - I'm totally down with a SP for that which sets up F4, but focuses on young Hank and Janet doing spy stuff in the 60's for SHIELD (and go all in with the 60's aesthetic like they did with "WWbN"). This way they can set up F4 so no need for backstory for the F4 movie. More specifically, maybe the SP starts with Hank and Janet meeting the F4 at SHIELD to discuss things like the Quantum Realm (imagine a brainstorming session between Hank and Reed), then the F4 go off to try their own version and Hank and Janet go on their spy missions (which is most of the show BUT could also show Hank developing the prototype Ultron code for SHIELD which Howard Stark appropriates after Hank quits SHIELD following Janet's disappearance into the QR), but then at the end we see the F4 at the Baxter Building or whatever getting sucked into the QR (to the NZ or whatever). There you go. F4 origin story done.

End of credits scene: Tony Stark buys the dilapidated Baxter Building and turns it into Stark Tower. Sets everything up perfectly. Damn it Marvel I'm still waiting on my check!

For the life of me I cannot understand why I do not see many comments about “not caring for her” or about her “antivax” views and her not being a strong actress, similarly to the comments surrounding Letitia Wright around Wakanda Forever’s release.

Surely there must be a reason for that no? What am I missing?

No need for a Hope solo movie. Having her pulled into another hero's movie might be good. Getting into a Daredevil story line or the Fantastic 4 movie?

A Wasp solo movie because Scott dies in this movie? I sure hope not.

I just think she should be given more a spotlight with the Avengers. The Wasp should be in more projects.

I'd be cool with a Wasp series, similar to Hawkeye in that it explores more of her personal life separate from Scott.

As for a movie, I'm not so sure. They tend to not take as many risks with their movies, and Wasp is already a bit uninteresting in the MCU. Unless the movie is about her founding the West Coast Avengers, which would be cool.

Hope should have had a standalone after Ant-Man, that was what I wanted to see after the first Ant-Man movie. Instead they give her second billing and try and turn it into a family movie. As of now, it's just not an interesting concept given she's just Ant-Man with wings and less charming.
