Firefly actor Alan Tudyk was rumored to portray scientist Hank Pym, alias 'Ant-Man' in Joss Whedon's highly-anticipated
Avengers film, as well Edgar Wright's solo-adaption.
Movie Web has apparently spoken to Wright, who declares,"
That's news to me!," when notified of the rumor.
Though this debunk comes as no surprise, I for one think that Alan Tudyk would be a great Hank Pym, with the exception that hes a comedian, and has worked alongside director Joss Whedon. As for his wife Janet, alias Wasp, I used to prefer
Firefly actress Morena Baccarin as her portrayer. This was until someone suggested Baccarin for Maria Hill, whose strongly believed to be "the other woman" in
The Avengers. What do you think?
Anyhow, the latest we've heard on the
Ant-Man adaption was that it was deep in it's 2nd draft, while
The Avengers is gearing up for an April start-date in New Mexico, assembling in theaters May 4, 2012.
