The last article I created was all about the villains Hank Pym and Scott Lang should face next year in Ant-Man. I've thought about it more and realise that the perfect adversary for this film could very well be Eric O'Grady the irredeemable Ant-Man
I think this because he could be what easily links the two Ant-Men to the rest of the Marvel cinematic universe.
But first a little bit about the scumbag in question. Eric O'Grady was a S.H.I.E.L.D agent before he got his hands on the ant man gear. But it was thanks to this he got the gear in the first place. Hank Pym had designed a new and improved ant man suit for S.H.I.E.L.D which was designed to do all the basic ant man stuff but with the addition of increasing size as well as a jet pack. The jet pack had four arms similar to that of Doc Ock but they also fired flames from them. S.H.I.E.L.D were preparing to give the armour to one of their agents before O'Grady took off with it.
As as we now in CA:TWS S.H.I.E.L.D and their hellicariers get obliterated. This means that Hank Pym could have supplying S.H.I.E.L.D with this tech for years before Cap and co. brought the organisation down as it had been infiltrated by HYDRA. So let's assume that the ant man armour was being stored somewhere in the triskelion during the events of TWS. During the assault on the hellicariers O'Grady gains access to the suit and uses it to escape the building leaving any friend he had to die. We can say that Ant-Man happens about a year after TWS so during the gap between the films O'Grady ( who has been using the suit to steal and spy on women) is approached by A.I.M who plan on taking the suit from him until it is realised that this version of the ant-man suit injects the user with Pym Particles when it is first worn to prevent it from vein stolen. The reason it has not been worn before now could be that Alexander Pierce had all S.H.I.E.L.D agents drop everything they were doing to hunt down Captain America putting the testing of the suit on hold. Because of this A.I.M decide that they must use O'Grady so they coerce him into working for them.
As we know Scott Lang will be stealing the ant man gear from Pym making it an older version of the suit as he saw no need in creating an improved suit for himself as his days talking to ants are over. When Lang steals the suit A.I.M allows O'Grady to act slightly more publicly which Pym will think is Lang giving A.I.M time to acquire what they need for their master plan (which would likely to be to destroy Pym and anyone else in their way to continue fangs toys and illegal scientific experiments).
The he films climatic battle would likely be a chase between Lang and O'Grady ( who has decided to run rather than stay and fight with A.I.M) while Pym (supposedly) dismantles A.I.M.
What do you guys think about this idea I created in my head and decide to share. Do you agree? If so hit that red thumb. Do you disagree? If so tell me why in the comment section below.
