Superhero Hype recently caught up with Paul Rudd to talk all things Ant-Man, and while the actor obviously couldn't say too much about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he did drop some very interesting hints about what's next for Scott Lang. Asked how it feels to have been added to the cast of Captain America: Civil War, he said: "I know that when I signed up for it that there was always the potential that they’d do another one or it would tie in in some way, but specifically, I wasn’t aware and I’m still not totally aware of how that’s the case. We are doing a second one, so those meetings are starting to be scheduled and underway as far as what it’s going to be. We’ll start writing it soon."

Rudd will be writing the screenplay for Ant-Man and The Wasp with Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, and it sounds like the actor is so far enjoying the process of working with Marvel. "It’s been very easy," he told the site. "Marvel’s been great, as far as if I have something else and they’ll work around it. It’s not like I’m working on a series which might be a little trickier as far as schedule. I worked on ‘Civil War’ and I didn’t really work on it for very long, but as far as ‘Ant-Man 2,’ I already know when that’s going to go, so you just kind of plan accordingly. If anything comes along that I can film before or after and it works out time-wise and it makes sense, Marvel’s been supportive." Reading between the lines here, it definitely sounds like there are big plans in place for Ant-Man moving forward, and you have to believe that he'll be a pivotal part of Avengers: Infinity War

What do you guys think the future holds in store for Scott Lang?

Anyone see the Big Short? Adam Mckay is now an Oscar calibre director! He should definitely write and film Ant-Man 2 from the beginning I have faith it might end up being a better movie if he can inject the humor and creativity he did in the Big Short.
