A new promotional banner for Aquaman has found its way online, and it features Jason Momoa's future King of Atlantis garbed in a variation of his classic comic book costume.

It's not a full shot of the character and the image isn't the best quality, but we do get a clear enough look at some artwork depicting Arthur Curry in what appears to be a very similar outfit to the one the hero debuted for DC's New 52 re-branding several years ago.

For a better idea of how Curry will look in the full costume, you can check out a recently released pic of a rather awesome statue below.

Tell us, are you excited to see Aquaman sporting a more traditional-looking costume in the movie?

James Wan's DC adventure is set to swim into theaters on December 14 in the UK and on December 21 in the US.

@Spock0Clock - It probably wouldn't have occurred to anyone, but if they could have gotten Michael Palin and John Cleese to have a cameo where a fish hits them in the face, that would have been absolutely genius!

@MosquitoFarmer - Or what about Kevin Kline being aggressively attacked by a swarm of goldfish as revenge for this...?

Didn't care for the trailer but I also didn't care for the WW trailer so I'll remain optimistic.

That suit is perfection. I hope it looks as great as that statue on screen.
