A Spawn Reboot Movie has been in devlopment hell for the last couple of years but finally there is some light at the end of the tunnel for Spawn Fans..

When Todd McFarlane was asked about the subject he had this very important comment to make.

The thing that keeps slowing it down is that the negotiation I’ve done is I write, produce, direct, but I’ve got to push a lot of my other endeavors off to the side so I can just get tunnel vision on it," McFarlane told The Gate website during the Fan Expo Canada this weekend. "Everybody at my company is now going, ‘We’ve got to find Todd the time to finish all this.

After Todd said this he was quick to tell the Website The Gate about the Spawn Movie

"It's not going to be a giant budget with a lot of special effects; it's going to be more of a horror movie and a thriller movie, not a superhero one. I've got so many people phoning now that I’ve got to get it done. I’ve made some promises to people this year."
"(The producers) want me to deliver the script by the end of the year, which would basically mean we'd be shooting next year. So, that's the goal right now."

This would mean that the Spawn movie will most likely be released in 2015..they need to release the Spawn Movie in Autumn for it to have any chance of success..

I am very glad about this because i really like Spawn as a charcter..also i am sure Jamie Foxx is going to be Spawn because he has said mutliple times he wants to be Spawn so it's likely to happen and having a big name like Jamie Foxx would help the film

i dont kno about todd directing. If they're trying to maintain a low budget, i think James Wan might be a good choice to direct.

@jerry

i remember reading some time ago that Todd wanted spawn to be a creature stalking rat alley. i thought wan would be a good choice because of the way he directs his horror movies. he'll be getting a taste of action movie making with his work on Fast 7. I'd like a movie thats more like the HBO cartoon.

i hated that cartoon. It was basically nothing more than digital comic, except there were so many cuts ... I got bored easilly. I felt like i was reading the comic again, but someone snatch some of the pages.

but back to Wan ... Actually I wasn't thinking about his recent movies. The Dead Sentence and SAW came to my mind. Not sure why. Maybe it's because his early direction style. They really should ask him if he wanna do it.

I really hope they don't use that rubber muscle armor like they did the first movie and do I need to mention not to do Violator like in the first movie? That was awful.
