[SPOILERS] My theory about *Spoiler* death

[SPOILERS] My theory about *Spoiler* death

This is my first article so hope you guys like it, It is my theory about one of the characters death in The Avengers Age of Ultron ...if you havent seen the movie this contains spoilers, so proceed at your own risk

By MarsProphet - Apr 26, 2015 07:04 AM EST

For all people who have seen the movie, we know that Quicksilver sacrifies himself saving Hawkeye and a kid, but honestly i think he will come back and here are my reasons:

  • Quicksilver has accelerated healing, if you saw the scene when SW and he were helping the police he was shot in the arm by one of the cops by accident and it didnt even phase him.
  • It didnt seem like he was shot in any vital parts of his body.
  • When cap was giving his speech before they fought Ultron' army he said "If you get hurt, hurt them back, if you get killed, walk it off" as they show quicksilver catching his breath
  • After his "death"..Cap picked up his body and put it safely back in one of the lifeboats along with Barton.
  • Helen Cho's Cradle that brought Vision to life, im pretty sure it can be used to heal pietro's wounds.
  • ATJ according to reports has signed multi picture deal

Honestly i hope he is still alive, he was a big part of the movie, IMO this is what Quicksilver is suppose to be rather than FOX's time stopper....and honestly i hate people that complain about marvel bringing character' from the dead...who cares?? these are comic book movies....theres several comic books characters brought back to life in the comics.

So there you have it, what do you guys think?

Hope he is dead, couldn't stand his fake Russian accent again. Plus the character was stupid, without any explanation he is not mad with Stark anymore, one thing is fighting a common enemy another is forgetting what you have think all your life. But that's just one of the many problems and plotholes of the movie.

Your last point was pretty much the base of the iceberg! lol He wasn't too bad though.

As much as I would like for him to come back, he dead. Your first point was foreshadowing his death and also he was shot by a tiny bullet compared to a damn machine gun from the Quinjet. Also they way he was honored pretty much seals it. (Clint's video to Natasha).

Lol his accent wasn't even Russian but gotta nitpick something.

I didnt believealso his death on this movie. If Coulson could come back from the death. Then an enhanched person coming back from the death is not a huge deal at all.

This spoiler was everywhere so I couldn't avoid it

But yeah, I really hope he comes back

Some characters should stay dead, but Quicksilver is such a cool character to kill off right away

I loved ATJ's portrayal. He had enough snark, the over protection, the chemistry with Wanda, the attitude just everything. Sad.

If he doesn't come back he was nothing but a waste of a character and I hate that.

Man, I'm not even trying to be funny but there were some things I just heavily sighed about. The beginning was pretty fine. After the Ultron rooftop invasion his character went downhill. I was VERY disappointed in how his character was portrayed and how he was written. I gave him a chance to be fair and ignored all of the signs I saw but hey, at least I can say I gave him a shot. Under the right writers and directors he can return in a very menacing and notorious way but as of right now, I'm just glad the Russos are coming up to the plate. I love Whedon for all of his strong work (for I know it is not easy) but when he said how much this was the film he wanted to make, I couldn't help but question how when there were so many things I KNOW fans for a fact would be upset about.

Actually, this, is the only thing that is plausible: "ATJ according to reports has signed multi picture deal"

When he got hit by a bullet i think it didn't beat an eye because he was running at bullet speed, more or less, so he didn't got hurt a lot.

The cap speech, was made to make people think nobody was going to die, and to make this final twist more... twisty.

Also, he was clearly shot at least in the heart, exactly in the point where it is located, so, or it is the Cho cradle, or they still have Tahiti. It is very weird that a major character like him is dead, also, an additional point is: Why there wasn't any "funeral" scene? Something like a farewell. If i remember well his last shot is exactly when he is laid down on the lifeboat and hawkeye is beside him... a little... hurried as a final character scene, huh?

@TheRationalNerd I thought after Loki in the first Avengers, that we would have another great villain, finally! But he is not better than Ronan, Mandarin, etc. And they had the chance to make a great character.

I never liked QS, keep him dead. There should be real stakes, real consequences for characters that won't have a viable stand alone movie.
BoredSorcerer
BoredSorcerer - 4/26/2015, 8:22 AM
As much as I would love him to come back I think Marvel should actually stick to a death for once instead of him conveniently coming back to life in on of the next films.

@marvelperson

Deal!!

Actually from what I've heard bringing Quicksilver back could be cool too. Because if the twins or Scarlett Witch in particular still feels that her parents death is connected to Stark, then having Shield and The Avengers bring back Quicksilver would make her even more committed to the Avengers and fighting on their side

@hgokuh

Yeah, for me Loki was alright but now when I think about it, that is in his nature to be a jokester and trickster so I've eased off a little from it. And mannn, he was just written so averagely. The Ultron that we saw in the first two trailers was the Ultron I was expecting to see and feel. This film has taught me the power of trailer/promotional material. I LOVED him without the facial expressions (I know, I know "He wants to be human!") but it made him more mysterious and thrilling. No one in the MCU stays dead so I'm sure he'll possibly return in a future phase movie.

This movie already lacked the ability to kill ANYONE even the lowest of the low civilians, ffs don't bring back the one guy who actually DID bite the dust.

If he does come back, it could be a really, really epic return....

I'm just imagining Quicksilver running out into battle, it would be amazing!!

I hope they bring him back

If Marvel wanted to do something like Avengers Disassembled and Civil War together, they could just do it as SW is heartbroken and tries to use her power to bring back QS. I honestly think SW will try to bring him back QS and lose control and causes some kind of catastrophe. (in place of the new warriors/nitro thing) and maybe cause the superhuman registration act and lead to civil war.

Then they could even be a psuedo House of M dilemma where she loses her mind and they all have to decide whether or not to kill her.

I mean really, the entire second phase is full of fake out deaths up the ass, would it really be so bad if one guy, at least ONE. GUY! Stayed dead?

the fact that some people think ronan and malekeith is better than Ultron makes me think, WTF? I have seen Age of Ultron twice and might even prefer him to Loki and Loki ain't that of a great villain to be honest.
NovaCorpsFan
NovaCorpsFan - 4/26/2015, 8:35 AM
I hope he comes back, but he's most definitely dead for now. Clint's baby was named Nathaniel Pietro Barton, so he's definitely dead.

Right on, awesome ideas

And, yeah, Scarlett Witch has so much potential in the MCU now, can't wait

Anyone who tries to argue that Malekith is a better villain than Ultron in the films is a moron.

Yes, a moron.
DrKinsolving
DrKinsolving - 4/26/2015, 8:37 AM

Maybe, but he names him Nathaniel Pietro Barton because Quicksilver saved Hawkeye, not because he's dead.

If Quicksilver wasn't fighting with the Avengers, Hawkeye would be dead
EXODUZ
EXODUZ - 4/26/2015, 8:38 AM
Fox's QS was better than Marvel's. There, I said it.

ITs funny how Whedon was always saying that, "X-Men are only using him for one scene, while we're giving him much more to do in our film." When in reality he spends the whole film playing sidekick to SW and is only used as character development for her. He barely has any lines in the film and his death came off as cheap.

At least his accent was more consistent than hers.
NovaCorpsFan
NovaCorpsFan - 4/26/2015, 8:39 AM
@DrKinsolving
That also makes sense. But he's dead.

Maybe, haha

Death doesn't mean the same thing in the Marvel universe.... I really hope he comes back, it would also make sense for Scarlett Witch to try and bring him back

A lot of people are dead in the MCU....

So, don't make Quicksilver one of them
