AVENGERS 4: It Sounds Like Another Jim Starlin Creation Will Be Introduced In The INFINITY WAR Sequel

Jim Starlin is the creator of Thanos and a number of other cosmic characters in the Marvel Universe but the comic book writer has seemingly confirmed that more of his characters will appear in Avengers 4.

Jim Starlin is already credited at the end of Avengers: Infinity War for his role in creating characters like Thanos, Gamora, and Drax but comments from him during a recent appearance at the Puerto Rico Comic Con point to another of his creations showing up in the still very mysterious Avengers 4

Apparently, Starlin was given the opportunity to visit the sequel's set and revealed that he'll receive another "Created by" credit when that rolls around next May. He obviously didn't specify which character (or characters) will be showing up so let the guessing games begin because there are lots of options! Given previous comments from the Russos, chances are that it won't be Lady Death, though!

Thanos' father A'lars is one possibility, especially after he was name-dropped by the Red Skull in Avengers: Infinity War. Starlin also created Thanos' brother Eros (a.k.a. Starfox) and his grandfather Kronos, so there are a lot of possibilities when it comes to fleshing out the Mad Titan's family. However, far more exciting are possibilities like Adam Warlock and Pip the Troll but the former seems unlikely.

After all, James Gunn has said that the character will debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and not an Avengers movie. Who do you think could show up? As always, weigh in with your thoughts below.

"James Gunn has said that the character will debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and not an Avengers movie. "

And we believe this, why? They also said everyone who died in Infinity War is dead.
Vigor
Vigor - 5/21/2018, 2:42 AM
@Luminus - nah, they said everyone who died is really dead. Which is true for now
Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 2:45 AM
@Vigor - "Really dead" means dead, not "dead for now."
Vigor
Vigor - 5/21/2018, 2:50 AM
@Luminus - exactly though. They're really dead. Absolutely 100% totally indisputably dead

But avengers 4 hasn't come out yet 😇
Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 2:53 AM
@Vigor - Mm-hmm. You're playing the same game they are, which is why I don't believe him.

@Luminus - If they're revived it doesn't mean they weren't really DEAD. Characters from Days of Future Past were DEAD until Wolverine changed that. Superman was DEAD until he was revived to scratch the itch. The "snap" got rid of them. They're DEAD until they aren't.
Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 3:14 AM
@Roodi - The characters from Days of Future Past are STILL dead, as clearly the alternative Wolverine has taken over the body and thus replaced the personality of the new Wolverine. Superman was clearly alive at the end of the movie. You know that. The shenanigans of Justice League are a continuity flaw.

When the producers say everyone who died in the snap are "really dead," after being asked specifically if they're coming back, they maintain the lie. So, no, they are not "REALLY DEAD." Really dead means Uncle Ben.
Vigor
Vigor - 5/21/2018, 3:22 AM
@Luminus - you can't really expect them to say "our characters will come back in avengers 4". That ruins the surprise and spoils the narrative a bit. It's like asking an artist to seeing his painting before they had a chance to put on final touches.

Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 3:29 AM
@Vigor - And yet that doesn't change the point of my original post. I never asked for them to give up the answer.
Roodi
Roodi - 5/21/2018, 4:00 AM
@Luminus - No. The timeline changed. That period never happened. It even revived characters that died in The Last Stand.

Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 4:04 AM
@Roodi - If the period never happened, old Wolverine would be gone, too. That last scene of the movie dismantles the idea that you can change time, instead of just creating another universe. Do Brown explains it best:

@Luminus - “Really” dead also used to include Bucky ad Jason Todd, as in “”No one stays dead in comics except Uncle Ben, Bucky and Jason Todd.” Lol
Roodi
Roodi - 5/21/2018, 4:08 AM
@Luminus - Yeah, Superman was obviously coming back but he still needed to be revived. Still died.
Vigor
Vigor - 5/21/2018, 4:11 AM
@Luminus - I think when ppl ask these questions, they force producers to be crafty with their response. I wouldn't consider it "lying", per say
Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 4:18 AM
@Vigor -
lie
lī/
noun
noun: lie; plural noun: lies
1.
an intentionally false statement.
"Mungo felt a pang of shame at telling Alice a lie"

lol. There's no way around this.

@RolandD
@Roodi

Unless, you're in the belief that everyone after the snap will stay dead for DECADES, until someone runs out of ideas, then your argument doesn't work.
Roodi
Roodi - 5/21/2018, 4:43 AM
@Luminus - I'm not saying they won't appear again but at the moment they're dead. Some people believe the characters that vanished were transported to another dimension or that they're inside the soul stone. I think they're aware of people with those theories. Maybe that's why they're dead pertaining to the snap.
Roodi
Roodi - 5/21/2018, 4:47 AM
@Luminus - Not all movies use the same explanation to time travel or alternate timelines. Wolverine was surprised to see Jean Grey and Scott meaning he revived them too by changing the past.
Roodi
Roodi - 5/21/2018, 4:48 AM
@Roodi - *maybe that's why they say they're really dead pertaining to the snap. There's no other dimension holding them or the soul stone.
Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 4:50 AM
@Roodi - Hence, my comment. I don't believe James Gunn.
Roodi
Roodi - 5/21/2018, 6:08 AM
@Luminus - True. I came in later and got caught up in the whole "death" talk. Their marketing has had lies to it like saying Hawkeye had a major role in Infinity War. That that was the reason he was being left out of the promo.

@Luminus - you are being unbelievably silly.
RolandD
RolandD - 5/21/2018, 11:12 AM
@Luminus - I don’t know, since they’re not real people, how can we say if they’re really dead or not?
Luminus
Luminus - 5/21/2018, 9:21 PM
@BloodyBed - That's what I'd like to know. And @ODanil has the nerve to say that I'M being silly. Is @RolandD being silly for his comment or do you just reserve that ridiculous accusation for me, only? It's a rhetorical question, since I'm done with this thread.

@Luminus - I would say unbelievably serious, not silly.😂😜🤪😂😜🤪

Thanos’s pervy ginger brother from the 70s who has the superpower to give people “pleasure” sounds like an amazing character and one I would love to see once a movie.

Has he actually said "another" credit as in for an additional character? Or does he just mean "another" credit because it's another movie using his characters?

Also I'm pretty sure James Gunn recently said that Adam Warlock isn't a done deal for Vol 3 and might not be in that movie either, but if he is introduced to the MCU at any point it'll be in a Guardians movie.

James Gunn has NOT confirmed Warlock for GOTG3. In fact he has said Warlock WOULDN”T debut then.

This is the weakest of weak sauce stories this site has ever posted, and that's really saying something.
