It Sounds Like AVENGERS: ENDGAME Will Be Stan Lee's Final Cameo In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Captain Marvel kicked off with a beautiful tribute to the late, great Stan "The Man" Lee but Joe Russo has seemingly confirmed at a fan event in India that Avengers: Endgame will feature his final cameo...

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has previously confirmed that Captain Marvel didn't mark Stan Lee's final cameo appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it's widely believed that Spider-Man: Far From Home will be where we last see the beloved comic book creator following his death last year.

However, during an Avengers: Endgame fan event in India, co-director Joe Russo seemingly confirmed that the highly anticipated superhero ensemble could very well be Stan's final cameo.

"I believe that his final cameo is in Endgame," he says in the video below. "I don’t remember if he was well enough to do the cameo in [Far From Home] or not." Feige has alluded to Lee making just one more appearance, and Endgame seems like a fitting place for that to happen - especially as it's being billed as an end of an era for this shared world.

Things could change, of course, but Russo is bound to be knowledgable of the situation given how much time he's spent in the MCU.

For now, let's just hope Stan's final MCU cameo is a good one...

This was pretty obvious since Fall of last year, and I've been saying this for a while now, lol; some people were trying to claim that that Far From Home would be his last cameo, but that never matched what we had been told about the number of cameos Stan had filmed.

What I think they COULD do in Far From Home is have Peter in his spider suit slowly walk past a public memorial for Stan, and have him pay his respects. That would be a really nice and touching tribute.

@HeavyMetal4Life - or just do it like they did with deadpool 2, have a mirage of him in every movie placed somewhere

@HeavyMetal4Life - If they could do rocket, groot, and the Hulk... They can do Stan whenever they like

@SpideyQuad - I hope they continue to have Stan Lee cameos, but as pictures or busts in the background, not CGI’ed in. As sad as it was to loose him...all good things must end.

@Superfan1 - Oh I totally agree, I was just making the point

I wonder if they'll use the same Captain Marvel intro.

as long as it isn't too heavy like him welcome Steve to the after life or something like that :(

and the irony of this being his last cameo is so unsettling ominous

@knocturnalzen10 - I really doubt it would be something like that. Most of us are expecting it to be Peggy welcoming Steve...

@HeavyMetal4Life - that's what to expect but these Russo guys have to be doing things differently and groundbreaking with story telling imo

@knocturnalzen10 - how is them having Stan instead of Peggy, which would be the most impactful and emotional outcome possible, groundbreaking with story telling?

@HeavyMetal4Life - aspect of them using him in the manner i was stating about welcoming him home , i only say that because we've seen the peggy scene in AOU so i'm not sure they'd go to that well again. i think she may have a part in it . i'm just looking at it as story wise for ending of this era .... i can definitely be wrong but i don't think it will be certain things we're expecting .... and yes the peggy scene would be very impactful

@knocturnalzen10 - if Cap is going to die, it MUST be Peggy. No other way around that.
