Based on Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) involvement alone, it's clear that Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 is going to include at least some Multiversal elements, and if recent rumors are to be believed, the overarching story is going to encompass multiple alternate realities.
Now, we may have a better idea how and why these various different universes are going to converge, and what the introduction of these Variants - not to mention some familiar faces from 20th Century Fox's now defunct Marvel movie universe - we've been hearing about could be leading to.
According to KC Walsh, the plot of the Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut is going to revolve around the TVA "choosing heroes from dying worlds" in an attempt to prevent the Multiverse collapsing in on itself. Logan is selected from the Fox universe, and is said to encounter Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) when they both find themselves imprisoned in the TVA.
New Earth/Battleworld is a possible scenario, and could be where we saw Wade and Wolvie in those recent set photos. The movie is also set to directly set up the events of Avengers: Secret Wars.
Several X-Men and Fantastic Four characters are rumored to appear, but the one major return that has been confirmed by the trades is Jennifer Garner as Elektra - although it seems speculation that Ben Affleck would be joining her as Daredevil was unfounded, and was based on the actor visiting his ex and their kids on set.

Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Rob Delaney (Peter), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead) And Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio) will all return as their respective characters, and they'll be joined by franchise newcomers Emma Corrin (The Crown) and Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), whose roles are still under wraps.
Plot details also remain a mystery for now, but Wade and Wolvie are expected to find themselves (trapped?) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A recent report claimed that Loki's TVA, including Agent Mobius (Owen Wilson) and Miss Minutes, will be involved. We have also been led to believe that Wade's MCU debut will be far more integral to Phase 5 and beyond than we first realized.
