Ultron, the dangerous and by far deadliest of all the villains that nearly every Avenger team has fought. He was the product of Hank Pym and was created for good, until he gain sentience and become vastly smarter than Pym. Soon he became stronger and stronger with each upgrade he has made him more of threat each time. He's by far one of the coolest villains the Marvel universe has given us. He's a bad-ass version of brianiac, willing to dirty his hands and destroy all human life. Now how can he be translated from comic panel to the big screen. Now the idea of the mechanical threat has been time and time again but he would be the first mechanical threat that more than one hero has faced, especially he's much smarter than them. What I'm gonna try to do here is give a few points on bring this mechanized monster to the big screen I'm gonna break down the character by appearance, voice, motive, and articulation.

Lets begin with appearance. First off, Ultron in all his versions in the comics....looks silly. He looks like a medieval suit of armor with a funky looking helmet on it. This would look silly if done in a movie. So obviously changes would be needed to make him look more menacing. A good way of making the look threatening would be to make him more advance than most of the tech that's present in the Movieverse, like the image here. He has such defining look and his bulk look may give him an edge against the Hulk.

The voice is key for any villain. The mechanized threat has to have a voice that not only conveys evil but true villainy. His voice shouldn't be gravely or really robotic. It should sound like a a more sophisticated tone as Hal 9000 and yet the chilling manner of Darth Vader.

His motive is pretty obvious, He hates all humans and wants them dead. The Avengers want him dead, he sees them only as a threat to his only goal and ultimate achievement. So that's pretty basic. moving on....

Now, his articulation is an interesting point. He's obviously the most advanced creation so how does he move? How many points of movement will he possess? Will he be a clunky walk of the tin man or have the graceful movement of an EVA unit? I would like to see the latter to some degree.

And there you have it an Ultron I would love to see being brought to the big screen. Til next time. BlackAirs out!!!

meh, I doubt we'll see him in the first movie, and most likely not in the second either.

Ultron as described is quite possibly the single greatest threat the Avengers have ever faced. to serve him up in the first or second film would not do him justice.
it was like seeing Doc Ock in Spider-man 2. sure we were all thrilled to see our favorite tentacled villain on the screen, but he died shortly after at the end of the film.
i think Kang or Michael Korvac as the big baddie for the first two Avengers films.
these guys have no significant ties to members of the Avengers and therefore could start out as the first threats.
cool article though @BlackAirs

I like the idea of Ultron as a big screen villain, but as seems to be the concensus, it seems too earliy for him.

I actually wrote a very short story in the fan fic section a while back that introduced Pym into the movieverse, and Ultron was the main villain. You can read it HERE if you are so inclined.

My concept for how Ultron looked (though it isn't incredibly obvious in the story) is that he was designed by Pym based on Iron Man armor designs that SHIELD had gathered from Stark, but with a modified, more Ultron-ish head.

And before you say that my idea basically uses Ultron cheaply and doesn't make him as big a threat as he needs to be...keep in mind that this is "Ultron I" so to speak. When Ultron's self-preservation system kicks in during one of my planned (hopefully) upcoming "Avengers" stories, the upgraded "Ultron II" will be a great deal harder to contend with. This is simply sort of my interpretation of the character's film counterpart origin.

Yea it would be too early for the first film... i said before it would like to see it hinted at with Hank Pym talking with Tony about how he could improve his JARVIS AI.. or secretly copying it behind Tony's back in an attempt to out do him

I never mentioned at all during this editorial that Ultron will be the main baddy for the first one. I would like to see him introdcued in Ant-man then set him up as a threat

i come up with a way to bring him in to the films. if jarvis downloads his A.I. into a ironman suit and something goes wrong and he becomes self aware and then he builds a army of robots including vision who later becomes one of the avengers. there you go. but also the leader from the incredible hulk film must be in the first avengers film to finish that characters story ,and hulk and banner are must as well.i would also love to see the skrull make it into the third avengers film.so have leader as the first villain, ultron for the second and the epic skrull vs the avengers for the third.

Ultron would be pretty awesome and he should be voiced by Hugo Weaving.

I say they do like HAWK did in his Avengers story. Mention that Pym is developing Ultron in the first Avengers movie, and then have it go rogue at the start of the second.
