Some days ago a report about the cast of the avengers, especially the S.H.I.E.L.D members, going to new york to meet fans and stuff like that.

In the same article, they mentioned kevin pennigton already being cast as wendell vaughn, or as you may know him better "quasar".

We all know kevin was metioned several times for different roles such as captain marvel, nova, a kree alien warrior even as the new human torch on the FF reboot, normally this are just rumors as many others concerning different cast for example ant- man and the wasp.

know, what makes me believe this has already been confirmed are the following 3 facts : 1- In the ultimate version of the avengers, theres a version of wendell vaughn( not quasar) being a head of shield, and part of a project named "PEGASUS". 2- As you might already have noticed much of the material for ironman, thor, hulk and captain america are adaptations from that ultimate take on the characters. So till know its posible that they are doing the same, taking Wendells ultimate version and incorporating it to the movie, but the thing that caught my attention was this third fact. 3- in the movie ironman 2 project pegassus is alleged. Tony stark is shown opening a wooden crate (1:24:04) marked "Project Pegasus" in preparation to synthesis his new element.

For me its plausible, i dont know if this has already been said... If it has i apologize for wasting your time, but if not i wanna know what do you think?... I can not predict what "project pegasus" stands for cause i didnt read much of the ultimates version... Maybe someone that has could shed some lights on us.

So there you go i just wanted to throw something out there, Leave your opinion folks, See ya!

P.D: I need to make clear im from latinamerica, more especifically from colombia, so if i have mistakes bare with me sometimes its really dificult to write in something is not your native language :P

I like Quasar, But was he a founding member of the Avengers? No he wasn't so why would they use him as apposed to antman.

@manymade1 wendall vaughn is a member of SHIELD, he's an agent NOT part of the [frick]ing avengers. The only influences there taking from the ultimates are SHIELD trying to recruit the heroes(and nick fury) and the only costumes that has some influences from the ultimate universe is captain america every thing else is pretty much 616(regular) version and there own stuff. wendall vaughn being part of it is not a bad thing he's just going to be an agent like maria hill there not really going to be major players yet. Maybe in a SHIELD movie

Makes sense to get Vaughn and Danvers in as SHIELD agents.

This gives them the option of bringing them into the Avengers in sequels and/or doing spin-off movies.

Also, comic nerds like me love to see characters in the movie that we know and love from years of reading their stories, even if they are just minor characters.

Even though that means I'll have to explain to my wife who Vaughn is during the movie- LOL!

That also sets us up for a possible Nick Fury/SHIELD movie with Jackson as the main star.

Fury, Danvers, Vaughn, Hill and Coulson give us a great cast of characters for a SHIELD movie.

I'd add in Bobbi "Mockingbird" Morse as well.
