I hope The Hulk will have actual conversations and not just mumble words, lol.

And there better be more Avengers in future movies!
TheAmarilloBlack - 3/6/2012, 6:48 AM
HEY! Simon Williams played a significant role in early Avengers lore, Whedon! Read a book!

TheAmarilloBlack - 3/6/2012, 6:50 AM

Great battle with Goliath in that one, I own it and still read it from time to time.
AlanWarlock - 3/6/2012, 7:01 AM
Every time I get excited about this movie, Whedon says something to snap me back to reality and remind me that HE wrote and directed it. *Sigh*
dahamma - 3/6/2012, 7:02 AM
Heck yes!! i really like this part

"A Hulk who not only feels flesh and blood, but is clearly an extension of Banner himself and not just a CGI thing that roars."

13echo - 3/6/2012, 7:06 AM
Simon must be blacklisted in Hollywood! He's been trying to break into the movies for years!!!
capMO - 3/6/2012, 7:10 AM
I got faith in you Whedon, do not disappoint me and the rest of the millions of people looking forward to The Avengers, we'll never let you hear the end of it ;)

Check out my blog!!! Superhero comics are the topic, and though mostly Marvel, any kind of comics can feature. Take a look, comment, criticize, applaud, whatever comes to mind when reading it!!!
chuckg313 - 3/6/2012, 7:12 AM
Like what im hearing
Happy11 - 3/6/2012, 7:12 AM
I'm glad the hulk is getting the attention he deserves but personally I liked the way they portrayed the hulk in the last film
Happy11 - 3/6/2012, 7:15 AM
I hear the running time for the film is 150mins which if correct is fantastic
Happy11 - 3/6/2012, 7:17 AM
I should clarify what I meant when I was talking about the hulk I liked the way he looked I prefer the darker green tone
Kayo - 3/6/2012, 7:20 AM
Whedon's version of HULK is great.
Name - 3/6/2012, 7:21 AM
What are those things on wondermans hips?
blvdnoise - 3/6/2012, 7:30 AM
The more Whedon interviews I read, the more I like this guy..
LAXtremest - 3/6/2012, 7:32 AM
I got no problem with the way the Hulk looks in this. Joss jokes around a lot in his interviews too. Keep that in mind. So far I haven't seen anything to make me think this movie won't give me everything I ever wanted.
Ranger14 - 3/6/2012, 7:34 AM
MrNoFear@ That's your opinion. Firefly and Serenity are far from Subpar and had it not been for Fox screwing up the scheduling and moving the show around it would have had a longer life, but that's a moot point now.

People here have already done side by side CGI comparisons of the Hulk in prior films and this film and the CGI is clearly better in this version of the Hulk. I think it is fantastic that the Hulk is actually going to carry some characteristics of Banner. It only makes sense to do so. Without Norton we have an ensemble cast that gets along well together and doesn't have a dominating ego that wants to take charge, change things and run the whole show. Much better off without him. My opinion.
blvdnoise - 3/6/2012, 7:34 AM
@MrNoFear That's the one line I absolutely want in this film: "Hulk's the strongest there is" I've heard enough about his smashing, and not liking his being angry IMO.
beetheb - 3/6/2012, 7:37 AM
I think it's essential that Hulk have real lines of dialogue, and a back-and-forth with the other Avengers. I think there were some interesting character moments (mostly using Hulk's eyes) in past films, and that worked to an extent, but the only thing that's really and truly going to elevate him above a 'CGI roaring monster' is getting him more vocal. It's why we bought into Gollum as a character; it's a certain connection that can only be borne by spoken communication.
NeoBaggins - 3/6/2012, 7:40 AM
Yeah, I'll watch the movie to judge. The actors and directors are bound to saying what they think people want to hear.
Ranger14 - 3/6/2012, 7:41 AM
...and there are far more important and better characters to bring into future Avenger films than Wonderman. Antman (Giantman), Wasp, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, Vision and the list could go on quite a bit prior to getting to Wonder Man.
silverpaladin - 3/6/2012, 7:46 AM
With Hulk and Captaian America. I hope there is a scene that lets us see a Captain that inspires Hulk to help despite the fact that "Puny Humans. Hate Hulk." This exhibits Captain's basic strength Leadership and the ablity to inspire others to help and the Hulk would be the hardest to convince.
I really think the movie would benefit from this. The Hulk in the Damage department is a Force of Nature.
sarahsatire - 3/6/2012, 7:48 AM
Whedon cares about his characters, and it majorly works in his favor that he is a fan of comics. This guy wrote the first run of Astonishing X-Men (and did it well), so it is not like he is a fish out of water when it comes to comic related material. I'm looking forward to his rendition of the Hulk, and hopefully the Avengers will lead to another Hulk movie (locking down the same actor, of course!)
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 7:51 AM
The Hulk is never angry enough for me.He never really lets go.And considering the whole point is that Bruce looses control and out comes the Hulk,I'm always left a little disapointed. He should be pulling peoples heads off and smashing anything that moves! Being calm enough to hold a conversation and partner up with other heroes goes against the basic tennants of the character. He's never angry, just mildly ticked off.
Still,we'll see I suppose.
mrHJK - 3/6/2012, 7:55 AM
Gotta see Giantman, Wasp, Black Panther, Ms. Marvel, Vision, Luke Cage would be interesting... And eventually I'd love to see Spidey and Wolverine appear
Ranger14 - 3/6/2012, 8:04 AM
I want to clarify that the names I listed were names I saw as either more important OR better characters. Wonder Man may have had his place in Avenger lore, but I don't see him as that marketable in the big scheme of things when it comes to the Avenger films. The names I listed are more recognizable and better marketable names and characters. That doesn't make him unimportant, but it doesn't make him the best character to throw in a film.
InFamouslyCool - 3/6/2012, 8:05 AM
that hulk is almost better looking than Ruffalo.
HavocPrime - 3/6/2012, 8:07 AM
Awesome, love the Hulk :) wonder if Ruffalo will do the TV series that Del Torro is working on.
BillyBatson1000 - 3/6/2012, 8:07 AM
As Shakespeare once wrote: "Hulk bash, Hulk smash . . . " What else do we need to know?
thisheart - 3/6/2012, 8:07 AM
Yeah, I liked Norton's BANNER, but the Hulk was nothing like him. Same with Bana's. This time they got it right, at least it looks like it. Crossing fingers. Pumped for this movie.
ThaMessenger07 - 3/6/2012, 8:09 AM
I honestly hope that for the next film they Change The Avengers Lineup a bit or a lot for the Second film.

He was joking and he's semi right. I enjoy Wonder Man as an Avenger and a Hero but much Prefer him as a Villain turned Hero.

Don't tell teabag I said that! Or all the strawberries and whip cream I bought will go to waist tonight!

Shaman - 3/6/2012, 8:10 AM
Whedon doesn't "get" Wonderman??? Teabag's gonna shit a turkey!!! And i'm talking "butterball" girth here!
Amazo - 3/6/2012, 8:10 AM
That's what I'm talking about.Let him off the leash!
