Marvel Studios Dates Five New Movies Through 2019
Marvel Studios has just announced that the next phase of its shared cinematic universe will expand with five new unknown films set for release from 2017 to 2019. Check out the dates after the jump
With Guardians of the Galaxy just two weeks from its August 1st premiere, Avengers: Age of Ultron nearing post-production to open May 1, 2015, Ant-Man on track to start filming next month for its July 17, 2015 release, and Captain America 3 set for May 6, 2016, Marvel Studios is ready to expand the cinematic universe with five more films through 2019. "Look forward to new films hitting theaters July 28 and November 3, 2017; July 6 and November 2, 2018; and May 3, 2019," reveals the official announcement. Given that San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner (next week to be exact), Kevin Feige and co. will likely give those five new dates official titles during their Hall H panel on Saturday night. It's worth noting that Marvel/Disney had previously secured a second 2016 movie for July 8th, which Variety reports is for the Doctor Strange movie. In addition, Disney also slotted an untitled Marvel Studios movie last year for May 5th, 2017, now making that year the very first in which they will release three films. For the other newly-revealed dates, we can expect Thor 3 and The Avengers 3, at least. Maybe Black Panther too? What do you think?
