If Arkham Knight definitively 'ends' Batman's career (either by death or retirement), I consider this the true ending for the character pre-New 52 reboot.

It would be interesting for the Arkham Knight's suit be used as inspiration for Terry McGinnis's suit in a future game which could be called "Batman: Akham Beyond".

I'll spoil it, don't mind. He's an artificially-created Damien Wayne. Amanda Waller created a clone/test-tube baby using DNA from Bruce & Talia, then sped up his growth.
