During last August's DC FanDome event, WB Games. Montreal announced Gotham Knights, a game that takes us to Gotham City in the wake of the Caped Crusader's death in Batman: Arkham Knight.
That means players will take control of members of the Bat Family: Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and perhaps most intriguingly, Red Hood. Having tried out most of those characters in DLC for previous instalments of the Arkham series, this promises to be a lot of fun, and the trailers released so far have looked great.
Unfortunately, COVID means Gotham Knights won't hit stores until sometime in 2022, and that means the developers have been busy working on finishing the game rather than sharing anything new from it! Thanks to an IMDb listing, however, we may have an idea of who will be joining the Court of Owls and Mr. Freeze as the game's confirmed villains (the former is expected to be the big bad).
There's a chance this could be considered a spoiler, so CLICK HERE to find the identity of this villain and who will reportedly be lending their voice to them in the game!
As we're sure you'll agree, that's an intriguing addition to Gotham Knights, and one which could take us to some of the darker corners of Gotham City in the wake of the Caped Crusader's death.
"Batman is dead," reads the synopsis. "It is now up to the Batman Family - Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin - to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos."
A new release date for Gotham Knights hasn't been announced yet, but keep checking our sister site GameFragger.com for all the latest on that and other upcoming video game titles.
