Gotham Knights is another video game that was first revealed to the world during last year's DC FanDome, but it's since been hit with an expected release date delay as a result of the pandemic.
This cinematic trailer sees The Penguin explain the presence of the Court of Owls in Gotham City, and it looks a lot like that villainous organisation plans to eliminate Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood in the wake of both Batman and Commissioner Gordon falling in battle.
Just like in the comic books, the Court is not to be trifled with! While this sneak peek does reveal more about Gotham Knights' story, there's no sign of any actual gameplay footage here. That has been shown in the past, of course, so we have a much better idea of what to expect from this title compared to Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League (check out the new trailer for that here).
This may not be the Arkham sequel some fans were hoping for, but the prospect of squaring off with the Court of Owls as the Bat-Family is undeniably exciting.
"Batman is dead," reads the synopsis. "It is now up to the Batman Family - Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin - to protect Gotham City, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops, and fear to its criminals. You must evolve into the new Dark Knight and save Gotham from chaos."
