Batman Once Met Sherlock Holmes

Batman Once Met Sherlock Holmes

Somewhat irrelevant, but the infamous and now newly famous detective once was in The Dark Knight's world.

With all the hub-bub about Sherlock Holmes, and Batman rumors, I thought it would be fun to mention that Sherlock Holmes actually met Batman in the old Detective Comics series.

Apparently, Batman met a 135 year old Sherlock. You can read the page below, but here is the notable quote explaining why Sherlock was so old:

"A proper diet, a certain distillation of royal jelly developed in my beekeeping days, and the rarified atmosphere of Tibet, where I keep my primary residence,".

I remember seeing this, but it's been a while. What issue of Detective was this story in?

Anyway, I can't think about Sherlock Holmes without thinking about The Great Piggy Bank Robbery, one of the funniest cartoons ever made, and Daffy Duck as Duck Twacy telling Holmes "Scram Sherlock! I'm working this side of the street!".

That's a picture of the cover. Its the fiftieth anniversary, and it says something about #125 and 572.

Thanks for the cover pic. Makes it easier to go back and look for that issue. It makes perfect sense to see those two great detectives working together.
