Creating a giant Bane from a normal Hardy

When I heard that DKR was going to have Bane as one of it's main nemesis', I was excited to say the least. If anyone could properly bring Bane to life on the big screen, it would be Nolan. My only question was how? As a trainer for the last twelve years, and someone who knows how actors put on their muscle for movies, it's steroids, not creatine and protein diets! No matter what you've read in the latest Men's Fitness. Even with drugs, how was Hardy going to become the monster Bane? Then I remembered this interesting article....we may just get the Bane from the comics and here's how.

Wow, thats pretty cool. Awesome find.

Nolan seems to use as little CG as possible with the Batman movies, so I don't think he would want to use something like this but it could definitely be an option.

Interesting find. Unfortunately, I doubt Nolan would want his characters to be CGI-heavy. Which is why I'm a little concerned with the choice of Hardy as Bane, even though he's a very good actor. If Nolan had at least got somebody around the 6'4"-6'6" range with decent acting skills(no, wrestlers are not decent actors), it'd be okay.

So, will Nolan make Bane a white/British guy, or will Hardy use an accent?

This is cool. The way i could see this coming in to play is maybe when Bane uses venom. Tom hardy in his bulky state but then when he uses venom they slightly make his features (arms, legs, chest, etc.) just a little bit bigger. It would look like Hardy was flexing the entire time and i think that would get tiring if he actually did that while acting. I could use this tech in that way.

cgi would be better, but they may go for a body suit like "the juggernaunt" in x-men 3.

The movie will be good but it wont be the Bane from the comics. Bane will be strong but not huge like in the comics. I dont think we will get the mask we all want to see ether. If we do see the mask it will be a scene or two thats it. I think the whole reality based Batman sucks ass but thats just me.

@grif so what is your problem with this franchise where you feel a reboot is necessary?

I saw this a couple months ago, but I forgot about it until just now. I doubt Nolan would use this. I forsee a toned down, grounded version of Bane. It should be interesting.

@YsoSerious: I imagine grif's issue is the same as most who have issues with Nolan's movies. That they aren't direct film versions of the stories in the comics is the one I've heard the most of...
