In a recent brief chat with Zap2it, actor Joseph Gordon Levit reiterated praise of his Inception director Christopher Nolan, and essentially their re-teaming in the much-awaited film The Dark Knight Rises. Expectedly unrevealing, read on below.

"I am so excited to be working with ['Inception' director Christopher Nolan] again," Gordon-Levitt tells Zap2it. "He's making a movie from his heart. Even though Chris makes these gargantuan movies, he manages to maintain that purity of storytelling. I think that's a big part of why so many people love his movies."

The Dark Knight Rises' story details are underwraps. Although, the films stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell & Michael Caine, the film releases 20 July, 2012!

Yeah, Nolan is doing a good job with the secrecy. I'm usually (sadly) drawn to spoilers. That doesn't happen with his movies though. And I like that.

I have a feeling this movie will drag due to the overcrowded cast and characters

@dmm5

The other two movies had just as many characters and he balanced them just fine. How do you figure the film is overcrowded? A few characters will be central. Others will help drive the plot.

If I were Joseph Gordon Levitt I'd have been kissing even more ass than this.... after all, Nolan boosted this guy's career and spared him the humiliation of being in G.I.Joe 2: Cobra & Cobra lol

Regardless of if Levitt is ass-kissing or not, it doesn't change the fact that the man is right. Nolan is the master.

Inception definetly earned him some cool points in my book. And who cares about the huge cast list. They're great and talented actors and will give a great performance in the movie without a doubt. Inception had one hell of a cast and look at that movie. Pure Gold.

this dude is such a grat actor. easily the best young actor currently working, that is why i am so upset that he has basically a nothing role. i really hope his character as one of Gordon's cops is just a cover for something more devious and sinister

But [frick] Gordon-Levitt would have been menacing Black Mask/Alberto Falcone!

The Lookout was great movie by the way!

@ JR. He will not be bloody nightwing although nightwing is an awesome character. Have you actually read what Bale said? He'll quit if there is a robin in his batman movie and I think that will go for Nightwing aswell.

i would have said sumthing along the lines of, "Chris really has some issues trusting new actors. He thinks wer the only people who know how to act. He seriously has a bad case of Tim Burton-itis, recycling all the same [frick]ing actors over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over,
